can be a W or an L tbh

if u show up with the maturity expected of a 22 y.o college student (as in, typically a senior), you'd prolly gain respect p quickly among peers

the thing is probably that a military life may preclude you from many life experiences that college students have that otherwise help mature them (it is a mini-society, after all), which i think is why most 22 y.o. freshmen military ppl i ran into at my college (granted, only like 6 ppl total) were kinda awkward/out of touch with both their 22 y.o. cohorts and their freshmen cohorts

I wasn’t gonna go to college anyway. But now these niggas told me it was free so now I guess I’m gonna make my parents proud and be a college graduate 😂😂😂

  • Op I’m assuming you’ve done so but if you haven’t I’d suggest watching YouTube. Plenty of people who actually went through it who can give better judgement than ktt

I don’t give a f*** about how old I am when I go to college. You’re there to get an education. You know what’s depressing? Being in debt at 22.

Nobody goes to college for an education

You go to college network and to get lit

You can be a art major from Cornell and get a job in investment banking making 150K right out of college

i assume cookies' criticism is that this is a shallow way to live (i may b stretching it there) and perceive the potential knowledge that college can offer

    if so i agree

been heavily considering doing the navy after college

i'm against US imperialism and all the bad stuff associated with our military, but i want the life experience of seeing it for myself and the benefits ofc

    best of luck op

also- recruiters are gonna make it sound like its all positives, thats their job tho

make sure u do your own research and really know what ur getting urself into

The Navy is the butt of all gay jokes lmao if you’re gonna get raped it will happen there

And I’m fairly smart but I’m not nearly smart enough to join the Air Force. There’s a reason the Air Force doesn’t come knocking on your door. People come to THEM.

Oh yea definitely I’m doing my research. And you should’ve joined before college so that you can get some of this American Shmoney to pay for your tuition.

you dont be a cog in the mass murder machine of us imperialism

get a real job my dude

  • Mar 18, 2020

I mean your brain isn’t gonna work the same when you get out but the benefits always seemed nice. Don’t take the L f*** around get deployed in some combat tho who knows what happens in the next 5 years lol maybe during like Obama’s first term it would’ve been good to join but right now s*** is lookin messy

  • Man f*** it do you. I promise tho you won't be the same after enlisting but you won't be the same regardless of wherever you go.

My homeboy is trying to do the same job im trying to get into through the air force right now. . . Which is cyber security.
    got me thinking tbh.

Stay Safe. Bless Up. And start studying now for your asvab so you have a better chance of avoiding combat.

naw mane i'll pass that gi bill to my kids

wanted the "typical college experience" and wasn't thinking logistically about my future as an 18 year old, so i may as well make the most of my current situation and live it out

plus with a degree i can commission instead of enlist
