Tbh thinking of selling everything except my real estate properties and stick to day trading/investing
Teach me your ways pleighboi, let’s go to discord
How did you even get to the point to decide this? What did you do before working for yourself?
I worked for Rocket Mortgage, made a lot of money, but also worked my ass off and worked extremely long hours
Literally^ everyone wanna be an entrepreneur, but nobody wanna put in the work. Within a year or so I changed my life and I’m able to retire by my 30s if I want to, was it easy? No. Was it risky asf? Yes. @op you can do it, but don’t go into this endeavor thinking it’s easy. There will be sleepless nights, days you just wanna quit, but if you put in the work I can guarantee you will see success in your life
Go find a non white man to work for
He literally isn’t, he says in OP his boss is Latino. OP just wanted a racist thread title I guess
No matter what you do in America You will be putting money in some old white mans pockets. Even if you own your own own business
taxes yea but other than that no
Well mainly I run an e-commerce business, have part ownership of a couple local businesses, and have properties I rent out.
Do you own the properties outright or are they leveraged.

Respect what youve achieved but dont think its right to say hard work guarantees success, particularly when ur talking about entrepreneurship

its not racist its a systemic fact that the majority of business owners are indeed white. i say this because i am black and i have family who were business owners. i would like to continue that trend versus doing what my parents have taught me.

No I agree, but I believe hard work and more importantly smart work will bring success. I see success differently than others, success isn’t how much money one has, it’s being content with my life and waking up in a good mood.

Mainly outright
Mainly outright

Apartments and other properties aren’t cheap in Chicago too. It’s a great way to make “passive” income, but people think you literally do nothing. It’s lowkey a pain being a landlord

Really? Because I know a girl from Chicago with a rich dad who got her some apartment buildings so she could be a landlord there, and she literally just backpacks in foreign countries for the entire year except for spending maybe a week or two at home in between trips

Depends which properties she has and if she actually takes care of the properties. Tenants can be such a pain, especially in this climate. Fixing stuff too is a pain. It really depends on your location and luck tbh
