So much talk about 2015 or 2016 (both great years of course) that sometimes you forget just how incredible '18 was.

The late, great Mac Miller released one of my favorite albums of all time in Swimming.

In the same day, Travis Scott had the entire world listening to Astroworld.

Duppy Freestyle provided a killer diss but then was blown out of the water by Story of Addidon.

Even with all the controversy... Drake went #1 with THREE DIFFERENT SONGS.

The G.O.O.D. music team had an unstoppable 5 week stretch

Pop and R&B got lit up with Isolation, Negro Swan, My Dear Melancholy, Dirty Computer, Sweetner, etc.

So many underappreciated hip hop albums as well. DiCaprio 2, Care for Me, I Am Greater than I Was, Dying to Live, Some Rap Songs, Noir, Milky Way, the list goes on

Beyonce and Jay Z released a collab album. Lil Wayne dropped the 5th Carter. Kendrick Lamar and TDE released a massively successful movie soundtrack for Black Panther.

In the admittedly underwhelming years that have followed, this may be the last classic.

Duppy is still some cold blooded s***.

I prefer Omerta tho.

"The G.O.O.D. music team had an unstoppable 5 week stretch" - Unstoppable? All of those albums made no noise and are forgettable probably besides Daytona, but only to people who hate drake.

"Dirty Computer" was Janelle's worst album
The carters album flopped and was proof everyone stopped caring about beyonces music
Black panther soundtrack is dated
"negro swan" blood orange's worst album

bunch of major releases but not all of them were actually worth mentioning

His next album gon be his best

2018 was great for rap everybody dropped, Travis, Drake, Cole, Rocky, Carti, Kodak, 21, Lil Wayne, Mac Miller, Cardi B, a lot of cool albums and hits that year

AND obviously all the Wyoming albums

The only disappointment was Eternal Atake not dropping
