Just got out.
I really really loved this one. My fav Pixar since soul. Might like it more
Really enjoyed the film. Felt like it was missing that OG Pixar charm, but maybe that’s Nostalgia working my control board.
I like this a lot. This feels like a must watch for its target audience of pre-teens. There are some valuable lessons to be learned from this movie.
does it feature a realistic depiction of a panic attack?
Nigga does a bear s*** in the woods???
It was kino too ..
I, for one, noticed the uncut gems influence and actually loved that final reveal with the "villain"
This was kino for sure
Around the time all the emotions were hugging, I finally accepted these characters as a crucial part of the Pixar canon. Went back and bumped the original film up to 4 stars, and I’m there for the trilogy.
This is one of those rare films that feels too short. Feels like it’s missing one good emotional moment to really bring it towards greatness. Anxiety gets a pretty quiet, subtle moment, but I wanted MORE. Super fast, super shiny, super tasty the whole way through.
I must say, however, Pixar is playing it a bit safe still. We know damn well the artists over at Disney meant for Riley (and Luca, for that matter) to be gay. I can practically see China breathing down their necks. So, the strokes are a lil broad, but still, this is the first time in awhile that Pixar has sparkled with an ingenuity that felt forwardly CLEVER. It’s a return to the magic factory.
Also, I realized the real star of these movies. Michael Giacchino. Easily. Agh. That’s good, Chino. Gimme another hit of those emotions.

Bro Cars 2 is wild.
My 2 year old loves the first Cars movie. Its wholesome, its fun, I am Speed, Ka-chow, allat.
So then I put on Cars 2...
GUNS EVERYWHERE. Shooting, Cars dying, Mission Impossible ass movie, MORE GUNS. WHAT THE F***?!
The writers were on whippits when they were brainstorming Cars 2
honestly a lot harder than i expected
was skeptical cause pete docter didn't direct and the first one is top tier pixar for me but honestly this is pretty fire as far as recent pixar goes and it still maintains a sense of innovation. watching a few days after elemental, this has so much more character and feels like it could stack up amongst their better films or at least alongside stuff like toy story 4.
offering them $100,000 each looks crazy now looking back after this s*** made $300mill first weekend
