I understand systematic, oppressive racism that prevents social mobility. But there’s equality laws put in place to prevent this.
But on a personal level do you feel like the racism you receive has had any great bearing on your life? My personal answer would be no but I know it varies from person to person.
The political sphere would have you believe it’s a daily struggle and I also heard Pac say “My music is for all of us born with the burden of blackness”. Which never sat right with me
I’ve never experienced explicit racism but race and class matters a lot in the US and creates certain barriers regardless

Even the racism I have received in my life which is few and far between
Doesn’t stick in my head as an ongoing issue
I’ve learned it’s best to laugh at the ignorant
Or just keep doing your thing
Being the target of outward racism and f***ing profiling by police as a 16 year old traumatized me.
In retrospect I remember some s*** I been through was horrific. Especially the teen years
Guess I’ve grown into myself
Idk man I used to get pulled over and searched for weed & guns no reason if I had black people riding passenger in my car, that s*** was disturbing
Literally no words said by anyone ever could ruin my day lol. That means 90% of racism is irrelevant to me
If it’s isn’t something physical or dangerous then idc
Being a black male in seeking employment is worse than being a convicted white felon
Aside from that had a white cop pull his gun on me during a traffic stop for drinking water
