Ok imma bite this s*** is bothering here's a book
Im half black - half white. Quater native shout out my half native half black gma but i digress. Mom is white - irish and itallian from immigrants. Dad is black - we dont know what tho but from US slave blacks.
A good portion of my white family are racist and hardcore conservatives - which is part of why i call conservatives out on here or the classic white coverups because one of the genuine positives of being mixed is that you get to see "behind the curtain" that others dont besides that race. I know the bullshit. Some of them have even disowned us & are straight racist to us lol.
Ive been called a n1gger by whites in Arizona because i am considered only black. Even got into two physical fights over it. One against a senior when i was a sophmore and one of my grade as a junior.
I am forced to pick between my races on government forums, school papers & now even in buisness as an adult. If i pick "both" - one its not even allowed in the system most of the tike - and two people look at me like im crazy and laugh.
In California my mother has been called a "n1gger lover" by racist Napa Valley whites in the bayarea. And this is the bayarea - the place where mixed couples and people are the most common in USA.
(I live in both CA & AZ - Im from CA originally).
My dad has been denied bank loans even tho he had credit is better than my mom and they both have been to jail - my mom walked in after on this some bullshit and got the loan while pretending to not know him.
People would ignore the phone of my black father but answer to white mother when they had their buisness together.
People RANDOMLY talking s*** about black people or other racists next to or even directly to my mom when they dont know about her kids and husband.
Some jobs would ignore my father - but when my mom acted as the front she got him the job(s) - same with some doctors.
Cops assuming automatically my mother is being "bothered" by my father while they talk in stores and whatnot not realizing theyre together.
People getting upset at a mixed family (even vocally) and staring.
"Equal laws"???
Redlining just got offcially outlawed in the 2010s fully b, and some firms still participate in it. Theres one getting in trouble for it every few years still. A law that is literally against black people and the low income class lmaoooo.
Police are literally trained to profile black n brown people lol. Still.
Some major politicians still actively lobby against blacks n beowns - some of it is in roundabout ways such as we're "only" lobbying against poor areas - not "color people" specifically 🤓 - but some of it is literally against black n brown people.
Lets not even talk about stereotypes & discrimination that still happens regardless of laws in education, job, medical, court system etc.
