What games have they put out this year that people genuinely care about besides fans of Japanese games and resident evil
monster hunter speaks for itself
pragmata got unanimous praise amongst reviewers and sold very well for a new ip
onimushas coming out soon and its very anticipated
what are you talking about lol
At some point I realized that most of my favorite gaming franchises are from them, so they been my Goat for a very long time. Monster Hunter, Street Fighter, RE, Mega Man...
Came to this realization like 2 weeks ago. Capcom is definitely #1 in my book
you must be joking with sega right?
nintendo i hear you but low output and some really middling returns on some of their titles.
metroid prime 4 is leaving a bad taste personally
rgg and atlus have been releasing heat for the last ~10 years
+other stuff like valkyria chronicles 4 and alien isolation
…but i do think capcom is superior

Man I want a new Valkyria Chronicles game.

i know you're right, but in my heart i just don't think of atlus as a part of sega

I feel like this is the real publisher v dev debate @Kr0niic
Man I want a new Valkyria Chronicles game.
ball knower
Too many classics. They're top two fasho
Easy
Imagine if they brought back Lost Planet.
Forgot that game existed
Easily. Top one of you factor in how quickly theyre poppin em out
Easy number one and that's considering they have been holding back some of their IPs too
What was wrong with Wilds? I copped a couple weeks ago on sale, gonna be my first MH
Cherrywine001 very much sumarized perfectly the problems with wilds (Specially for dudes like me or him that are veterans of the saga)
But yes, in the end its still a fun game and if its one of ur first MH experiences i still think there is a lot u are gonna enjoy
And u are getting on a perfect time A LOT was fixed with updates. Specially on the performance side it was atrocious lol.
I ended up putting 100 hours on it even if its a bottom MH tier imo (doesnt mean its bad) and more than i gonna put up leading to the expansion + the expansion itself
It was clearly rushed out and unfinished at launch.
-Post game (meat and potatoes of MH) was super barebones and required us to basically fight 1 monster for months.
-no gathering hub at launch (lmao)
-Artian grind sucks and isn’t fun
-Game is overall too streamlined and fights were too easy
-Game was ugly and unoptimized for awhile
-seikret trivializes the game
-you couldn’t even hunt the final boss until a later title update (lmao)
That’s all off the top of my head, but there’s much more. A lot of the issues have been fixed post launch, but there’s much are still a few lingering problems that just come down to how the game was designed. If you bought it recently, you’re playing the best version, congrats. Despite being in a much better state, MH wilds is still considered a bottom tier MH game. Hopefully the expansion changes that
This is a perfect sumarize and i agree 100%
"games people care about" except Resident Evil the 13th highest grossing video game franchise with a new movie coming out in 3ish weeks
Damn tbh I know RE is a f***in juggernaut but I didn't know it was even in the top 20 most sold franchises too. Damn that makes sense I guess but
learn something new everyday
I dunno man I get the complaints but I loved Wilds. Sank 100+ hours into it ganking monsters with my friends.

they need to remaster the ones they did for PSP for the ps5
for what its worth Street Fighter 6 is their most successful
Valve
Capcom
Sega

@Himothee that said, there’s no truly “bad” MH game. Even the worst one is a great time with hundreds of hours of fun. You’ll enjoy it

Bro thank you! I was hip to Seikret streamlining things too much but didn’t know the extent of the other issues
Definitely looking forward to giving it a shot now that’s in a better shape

Fwiw as a newcomer, most of these things won’t bother you. The only thing that may bother you is the unstoppable forced walking/story sections. That aspect is unique to this entry. After you push past it the game is awesome
