He's been sober for 10 years, Recovery released 10 years ago.
EDIT::
after doing my research, he's been taking d**** since infite all the way through encore and got sober from relapse on.
Also relapse released before that, its the most d***ged out he ever sounded

Relapse was released 2009

Relapse was released 2009
Means it was already recorded by then, is the name of the album based on his recovery from d****?
I think musically part of him gave up/lost it when proof died
If you compare encore with any album released since it's just different levels

Definitely a part of it

I'm reading the wikipedia article
We missed out on relapse 2
April 2010, Eminem announced that Relapse 2 was cancelled and that a new project, now called Recovery, will be released to make up for the cancellation
No his best music was his most sober and coherent : TES
His prime
TES/ 8 Mile Soundtrack
The album was dedicated "To anyone who's in a dark place tryin' to get out. Keep your head up... It does get better!"8 Eminem told Billboard that he was in "full-blown addiction" while recording Encore. He felt happier and "first got sober" during the recording of Relapse, having overcome his addiction

So he was sober from relapse on huh

he was on d**** during TES as well
Nah the main factor for his decline might be caring about critics
he took 14 different d**** a day and overdosed, its fair to say what we're hearing from him now, its actually his artistry off the d****

14 d**** a day really
his good music was when he wasn't jaded, he had only 2 years of releasing good music being jaded before it couldn't sustain
He’s been trash for more than 10 years tho

Eminem considered naming the album Amsterdam after a trip to the city shortly after the release of The Slim Shady LP, in which he and his friends engaged in heavy d*** use.7 The "free" use of d**** Eminem observed during his time in Amsterdam greatly influenced his desire to openly discuss d*** use in his music and inspired some of the content on the album
So because a body guard says it its somehow true, like science and others personal experiences are just to be ignored right.
14 different d**** a day a small variety (like 3,4) of 14 pills throughout the day will get out of here quick
I personally don't believe this story sorry

Relapse kinda disproves that tho. He was sober and just made the comeback album he wanted with Dre and it was still more or less prime Em even after a 5 year break. Ever since he got signed he was a superstar and I think he and the label expected that momentum to carry, and when Relapse underperformed I think it shocked both him and the label. If it sold well Em wouldn’t have cared about critics but since it didn’t sell it got to him more. That was the first time Em probably felt like he couldn’t just make whatever he wanted and I’m sure he wanted to stay successful as much as the label so they came up with the Recovery formula. I see that as the turning point and d**** don’t seem to be a factor imo
Back when Mark Wahlberg was Marky Mark
(fuckin' friend)
This is how we used to make the party start
We used to mix Hen' with Bacardi Dark
And when it kicks in you can hardly talk
And by the sixth gin you're gon' probably crawl
And you'll be sick then and you'll probably barf
And my prediction is you're gon' probably fall
Either somewhere in the lobby or the hallway wall
And everything's spinning
You're beginnin' to think women
Are swimming in pink linen again in the sink
Then in a couple of minutes
That bottle of Guinness is finished
You are now allowed to officially slap b****es
You have the right to remain violent and start wilin'
Start a fight with the same guy that was smart-eyein' you
Get in your car, start it, and start drivin'
Over the island and cause a 42-car pile-up
Earth calling, pilot to co-pilot
Looking for life on this planet, sir, no sign of it
All I can see is a bunch of smoke flyin'
And I'm so high that I might die if I go by it
Let me out of this place
I'm outta place
I'm in outer space
I've just vanished without a trace
I'm going to a pretty place
Now where the flowers grow
I'll be back in an hour or so
So because a body guard says it its somehow true, like science and others personal experiences are just to be ignored right.

During the peak of his d*** addiction, Eminem previously revealed that he was taking up to 60 Valium and 30 Vicodin pills a day. In 2007, he overdosed on methadone. “The doctors told me I’d done the equivalent of four bags of heroin,” he said at the time. “They said I was about two hours from dying.”
