During the peak of his d*** addiction, Eminem previously revealed that he was taking up to 60 Valium and 30 Vicodin pills a day. In 2007, he overdosed on methadone. “The doctors told me I’d done the equivalent of four bags of heroin,” he said at the time. “They said I was about two hours from dying.”

Once again this is from his own mouth, as if you could take 60 pills a day
Edit:I'll do my research and will come back with a science based argument, this might be true

I think they exagerate it, but he obvioulsy was taking a lot of pills.

    He couldn't.

According to him, when he ended up in hospital, the doctor told him, if he didn't get picked up by an ambulance within 2 hours he would have died for good.

Apparently he was already on d**** during infinite.

So its from infite all the way through encore

After the release of Infinite, Eminem's personal struggles and abuse of d**** and alcohol resulted in a suicide attempt

The problem with sober Em is the lack of confidence.

Wayne did, and Thug isn't even a goat. People only see Em's bad projects it seems.

Rebirth was pretty bad, like Revival bad imo.

that's sounds very sensationalized, d*** overdoses on vicodin and valium get treated very well and aren't uncommon. Basically yeah if left untreated you're dying but on valium alone you can overdose and recover without medical assistance (valium only overdoses are rare because you need 1000s of pills to do so source:

"There have been cases of attempted suicide where people ingested 2,000 mg of Valium and recovered without medical treatment. Based on lab animal studies, a lethal dose of Valium alone for a 150-pound human would be more than 80,000 mg."
    floridarehab.com/drugs/valium/related/valium-overdose

Vicodin overdoses are more common as their lethal dosage is very high (9 10g pills, 18 mg pills). An addict of course develops a tolerance thus needing more to overdose.
    Source:summithelps.com/vicodin/lethal-dose

combining d**** can also lead to quicker overdose but both of these d**** are very commonly treated. Him "barely making it" was in my opinion a matter of time not severity of the issue.
