It’s certainly the closest thing we’ve gotten to a classic album in a long time but if you’re were asking me personally I’d tell you no there’s no chance
I guess but the music is not that good
never go back to it tbh, but there’s a few songs i still fw, he just sounds too sterile and clean i prefer his dbr sound
Havent gone back to it since its release
Lemme run his discog real quick...
no lmao
does classic just mean “album i think is good/great” to y’all
something can be good and also not a classic
These were, to me, the only truly great songs on the album
But it's in the books as a classic
It had a lot of initial impact on ppl when it dropped but no one really was talking about it after 2019

Astroworld was huge up until 2022 tbh

no one was talking about it during the pandemic though? people talked about pop, carti, yeat, juice, drake, von and durk…not travis

Nah it was still getting radio play
The uprising of WLR and the Astrofest tragedy are the only things that really impeded on it being the album any longer. I think back half of 2022 is when it would've actually organically declined otherwise. It's still in the top 100 on Billboard and it's 5 years old

based on what experience? the conversations you had with your 3 friends?

Songs like sicko mode and butterfly effect are what’s keeping it on the radio, but radio’s not a good measure of what’s culturally relevant. I listened to sicko mode again for the first time in years a few weeks ago. You’re right Astro tour affected it a bit, but I don’t think it that’s the basis of it falling out of relevancy
It doesn’t matter once utopia drops y’all are gonna praise it 10x harder because that’s what y’all do
New album sucks, album right before suddenly gets loads of praise
Same thing with Damn and MMBS
Astroworld sounds good but Travis doesn't have a lot of good verses on it. Also it's sequenced kinda weird towards the end.
Not a classic.
