That's what I was trying to say. I wouldn't want to be exactly like her but she's a close approximate of who I want future me to be.

    What’s stopping you?

I feel like changing your lifestyle and changing your personality are two completely separate things

Like having an active s***life like her and cooking all of your own meals just like how she does is cool but changing your sense of humor is really weird tbh

Trauma. But I'm working through it and meeting her was a big help.

  • There’s no real personality, you are who you aspire to be not who you are currently. Why? Because the way you are now is most likely not something you chose to be, it was forced upon you by your circumstances and environment. You should always be changing and aiming to become the person you’ve always wanted to be!

No I have the same sense of humor and I have very active s***life already. I just met someone who does these things and doesn't get picked on for acting the way she does.

She helped me realize there was nothing wrong with me.

Look at it like this. You’ve seen someone similar to you doing everything that you’re also interested in. You’ve got someone to confine to at least a little bit. Someone who understands what you’re going through. Talk to them they will help you more than we can. That person can help you get over (not get over but “change” I guess) your mindset. The trauma may never go away but it can be lessened with time. But if you keep thinking about it it will never go away. If you keep blaming it it will only get worse and stop you from doing things that you can do. Have a nice long talk with her

Emulating someone's personality won't bring you their success, achievement and even overall appeal.

You're most likely just obsessively inspired.

Use that person as a reminder that it's okay to be yourself and accomplish anything you want without being someone you aren't.

It'll be good in the longrun.

good post and that's kinda what i meant. i don't want to be like patrick on that one spongebob episode.

i want to be myself while also being more like her. the positive traits.

If the person is everything you want in a S / O, then go for it bro

Like bro don’t miss out on someone that could end up being your soulmate

You’ll regret it if you don’t act

As you're someone whos coming out of being diagnosed w a disorder and working against it I don't think working towards the goals you see her accomplishing is a bad thing at all, but going as far as completely modeling your identity on her may be too much
