People are over the preachy, holier than thou, surface level sociopolitical commentary rap that Gimmrick releases — the trend reached its peak with Macklemore, and has died down since. Really the only impact it has is payola twitter accounts tweeting “KING KENDRICK IS BACK. I CAN’T BELIEVE HE SAID THIS!” only for them to forget about the song just mere hours later.
Very sad! He chose to go the preachy route on Mr Snore/Boreale and it backfired, while the likes of Drake released several projects that were enjoyed en masse, outside, internationally.

bruh if you selling out arenas then you are relevant
I don’t care what no one says
idk man it might of worked he sold out the tour
He was always gonna sell out his first tour in 5 years. It didn't help the album. That's my point.

You niggas are either lying to be getting likes from other lemon lames (SAD!) or willfully oblivious to the fact that people actually liked this album and talks about so many heavy topics it's going to take some time to digest.
Ain't no way he addresses heavy topics in our community such as father-son relationships, transphobia, domestic altercations, faith, and sexual abuse that people are just going to "forget" about something like that by the end of the year.
I can and will respect the opinion that it may not be as solid as his other albums because that's a personal opinion and I would agree with it if I didn't appreciate his message on here, it's just not the time for me to digest such an album, but I/many others can/will go back to this album indefinitely because it is a solid piece of work.

The joke is that we get a thread about how no one likes or listened to MMATBS consistently every week
Like we haven’t even had a chance to forget about it because haters keep making threads about how s***ty it is
Never got the hype behind Kendrick, people act like he’s some lyrical god and I just can’t see that. I’ll give him credit for being an exceptional musician however 🤷♂️
It was one of the best albums in rap this year, it's just too focused on being an emotional narrative to deliver what a lot of people are looking for sonially. That's fine and I think every great artist needs a record or two like that
If y’all really want people to forget about this horrible, horrible album, stop talking about it!
If no one listens to it, let it fade naturally if it’s so forgotten from the public’s mind. Why do we need a constant reminder of how much y’all don’t like this damn album? Lmao
I just can’t believe he took a 5 year break and came back with THAT album. Like, come on dawg. You know damn well that wasn’t what the people needed.
He should’ve dropped another one by now a as a make-up tbh.
