the equivalent to the 80s "dusty" rap would be 50s rock
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHG5-GxI_Esto me this still sounds better than what you might get from a Tupac or Biggie song.
Why isn't old rock called dusty too?
Because KTT is filled with racist edgy suburbanites that don’t actually like rap
Rap could never do what 60's-80's rock did
It helped extend some of their legacies.
Bob James and Aerosmith were done until rap revived them
mick mars is a legend in the game, but glam just seems too pretentious to me
90s hip hop is timeless. I can‘t name one Rock album that gives me a feeling like The Infamous, Ilmatic, Ready To Die or Mystic Stylez.
And yes, I‘m biased
Rock is a older genre so it has a longer and richer history its transformed more than once and there's more sub genres of it than any other form of music. But I feel like you're downplaying some of the early hip hop. The early stuff is like a blueprint yet some of it sounds timeless, like paid in full. I'm sure if you go back far enough with rock you'll eventually find real basic sounds that paved the way for the genre.
Live instrumentation obviously gonna age pretty decent compared to old rap which used very outdated technology by todays standards

You’re right because it’s way better lol
60-80s rock ain’t even better than 60-80s rnb

They don't call it the golden age for no reason.

Debatable. 80s was one of the best periods for rock music. It's personally my favorite.
