Yeah but that’s their nature now and they don’t care. If you treat them well they won’t suffer.

The animals that we eat are slaves too, and they do suffer, a lot

Not all slaves were treated like that. You're conflating Chattel slavery as all slavery.

And you’re making slavery out to be “not that bad”. Anime profile pic too. Yikes.

When someone says slavery you either think of the 1800s southern slavery or modern human trafficking, not whatever 1/1000 s*** you’re talking about.

Slavery that happened in the south was obviously way worse but there's many forms of slavery. I'm not saying what black slaves went through was the same as your chihuahua

    No I'm not

Also dead at you throwing my avi out Emo Peter. I never said anything about slavery not being that bad nor implied it b.

What people assume isn't always the reality b and again don't put words in my mouth.

Edit- Now I'm deadass mad I didn't say anything wild at all. All I did was correct you b.

I never downplayed Chattel slavery just stated OPs point can be right outside of that concept of it.

Some of y'all have no concept of how to debate or argue without binary and immediatly run to that to get your points across and it's annoying as f***.

"You said something I don't like? Well your avi and you said this even tho you didn't" grow up

Except you said “not all slaves were treated like that” eg: abused, forced to work

    Literally your words

And after I made the distinction of slavery in general vs chattel slavery.

Don't remove the context of my post to make a point b it's disingenuous and not an argument in good faith.

Literally my words were used to draw a distinction between the two types. In no way did I downplay chattel slavery.

My post literally draws a line between the two. Again do not misrepresent my post or lie on it.

@SlappyBag My entire point was to separate the two as not to conflate how animals are treated now as to how black people were treated then because thats problematic as f***.

You'd have to be incredibly obtuse to make it the opposite.

The definition of a slave is Limited to a person
Also dogs like retrievers and herding dogs are bred to do what they do and they genuinely enjoy so is it even forced labor? And that’s not even counting household dogs who don’t have to work

That’s my take on it. Good question tho
