They didn't choose domestication
Wild animals don't have it better. They're fighting to survive 24/7
That's the difference between pets and slavery

Who are we as humans to decide whether they have it better or not lol, they lasted on this planet millions of years

millions of animals are killed in the wild every day what are you talking about
you're telling me this is better than this
That's how God (or whatever you believe in) intended them to be, no? Who are you as a human to take them out the wild and say "you have it better now" their brains are designed for the wild
Cmon man don’t tell me owning a pet is equivalent to what African Americans faced during slavery you guys are f***ed

Nobody said this, the concept of slavery isn't exclusive to what happened to african americans

I mean using that logic you can also say God didn't intend for us to have prosthetic limbs or antibiotics
Domesticated animals wouldn't survive in the wild
Cats and good fish get on just fine in the wild, and aren't dingos nothing more than freed slaves as per OP
Is an animal supposed to be taken away from it’s family against its will to live with humans in an environment that isn’t natural to them? Don’t call it slavery but it is something unnatural.
I understand that there are rescue animals and animals that were in shelters that need food and shelter at this point. But humans have really f***ed things up for a lot of animals for the most part. Yeah it gets used to living with us, but it is unnatural. And even with the struggles of finding food and shelter in the wild, that’s what it’s supposed to do.
I was thinking something like this the other day when looking at my family’s dog. That it would be much happier around its siblings than sitting around being bored until people can play with her, take her out, etc.
dont think its slavery unless you withhold food until they do work for you. animals are different from people too, its less nuance.

well they literally not gon be able to survive in the wild anymore so what are you arguing

how’s it unnatural if we naturally did it
