out of what i wore, not really actually, and tbh natural diamonds are oftentimes not ethically sourced ( ) so lab diamonds kind of get the nod for me half the time anyways
im sure there would be differences if you were to examine them under one of those jeweler scopes or whatever the f*** but i don’t care that much yet (im too poor as of rn )
I feel u. I just asked because I remember some survey coming out that said “lab grown diamonds are regarded as less special” or something and then I saw the survey was administered by de Beers
This convo also makes me think about how lab grown meat seems to be on the horizon and how that could lead to lab grown leather and making high quality leather goods more accessible and cheap. those products might feel and look different from leather collected from live animals though since it wouldn’t necessarily have scars and pores present on animal skin. Exciting stuff nonetheless
Nah man rock the fake rollie. More power to you
at least you consistent ig lol

So how did you logically come to the conclusion
Someone who buys 5 AJ1 reps is concerned with fitting in with whatever's new out.
but
Someone who buys 5 AJ1 authentics is not concerned with fitting in with whatever's new out.
Like I have yet to see it explained how you can distinguish people who purchase reps generally have different motives than those who purchase authentics. Just a bunch of hypocritical statements to hide the true face of "broke people tryna have stuff they can't afford bothers me UGH" lmao.
because those people who are buying reps are just copying and pasting what they have seen other people wear lol, a hobbyist isn’t going to be concerned with fitting in because they already know what they like and what sort of look they’re shooting for
there’s a difference between a hypebeast and someone who actually is into fashion and took the time nailing down their silhouettes and their style
sans rich people/celebs, i just don’t think someone who is spending all that money on authentic AJ1’s is simply
doing it to fit in half the time, there’s dudes that literally stack up just for a particular piece
im not saying people who buy the authentic versions of the s*** are high class fashion experts half the time, and im not saying people who buy fakes are bums who can’t dress half the time, i just intuitively think that someone who is overtly concerned with buying the fake versions of hot clothing is probably not someone who is that passionate about the hobby because someone who is passionate about it, probably wouldn’t be able to stomach wearing a fake version of an illustrious brand—because it violates the principles of fashion like self-expression and authenticity
im sure there are people who are super into fashion buying fake clothing, but they would have to be the minority, or else there wouldn’t even be a market for the authentic version of that clothing

Do you feel more comfortable with a screen attached to your body?

Exactly I do not understand "luxury goods"

Yes tbh it's very useful lol
Is your phone not enough? Is pulling it out of your pocket that inconvenient?

its a wealth/status flex for rich people
See who even wants to make themselves look rich tho
Just feels weird, why I'd never buy Gucci or whatever
Exactly I do not understand "luxury goods"
Do you believe a £150 exfoliating face serum to be better than a £5 one?
Is your phone not enough? Is pulling it out of your pocket that inconvenient?
At work yes I need constant access to timers, stopwatches, sometimes sending fast texts like "call 911 now" and what not when in escalation

As are 90% of people buying real Yeezys, AJ1s, etc. Please be f***ing for real.
These brands are too universal and mainstream for vast majority of people to not be buying because of what they seen others wear at this point.
Again, we aren't talking about some unique runway items lmao. This is s*** you see someone walking to Walmart in.
See who even wants to make themselves look rich tho
Just feels weird, why I'd never buy Gucci or whatever
a lot of people including many reps buyers
