Husk_Actually it’s just cops in San Francisco that don’t give a f*** about petty crime. This is because in general the DA has been giving repeat petty crime offenders lighter sentences compared to other DAs in the past who will amp up on harsher sentences if it’s your 2nd or 3rd petty theft crime.
In my state the DA will f*** you up for petty theft. They have undercover police in the Walmarts and Targets and an officer or two that sits in the camera room and he’ll INSTANTLY come out and nab your ass if you try to steal some s*** in there. If you steal from a Walgreens your face is going on the local news that night, and if that catch your license plate the law will be knocking on your door within a few days.

I think its getting attention because cost of living is higher so it's suppose to be a nice place to live but crime is relatively high.
