I love Nolan’s Batman, particularly Begins, but people latch onto them because they’re pseudo crime thrillers, grounding a powerless character further..you sidestep the whole challenge of adapting whimsical aspects of CB characters…also Logan is great but the antagonists don’t do s*** for me

Antagonists was weakest part of Logan

There was. NOTHING grounded about dark knight rises. It was batman and robin without the self awareness

How does Spider Verse not have a good story???

again the title is greatest of all time superhero film

not good super hero film
not great super hero film
not cool animation
not passable story
not cliche story but next movie will be better

How I see it,
Begins is an all time great origin, Batman with a Mann lens, that to me is really a “superhero” movie
Dark Knight is straight up a crime thriller to me, meets blockbuster pacing
Rises is not grounded you’re right but it’s like a prelude to current Nolan, it’s still self serious s***

sam raimi's spider-man 2 and the dark knight are the greatest superhero movies ever made

Again into the spider verse isn’t even the best animated super hero movie so why y’all bringing it up

I dont see myself ever watching spiderverse but ppl swear by it

More than any other subgenre the super hero s*** is subjective to me, whatever adaptation you find yourself most invested in, is the best

Not a left field take in the comic book community but this ain’t far off

Batman begins and rises both have corny af endings where they literally just kill the antagonist (yes i know that they dont have a choice)
At least at the end of TDK Two face had a gun to a kids head like it was a bit more justified

and dont get me started on this s***
