No one questioned it because it was Kings & Popes that were the ones spewing the information
Even if some people knew it was wrong, they weren’t going to openly question it in fear of being executed for heresy
dude lol, it would still be objectively wrong
what are y’all not getting
someone doesn’t have to be called out for getting a text wrong, if there’s texts that precede it, it would obviously be wrong regardless
There is a genocide happening right now and this is on ur mind
Shut the f*** up man

Ofc it would be wrong to change and manipulate something that’s supposed to influence the masses
But you’re saying as if can’t be manipulated because people would’ve openly questioned it back then which is not true because before Christianity became an officially religion, it had to be put together by members of the state so it can be released to the masses
And if their ideas were inaccurate? Who would risk questioning them? Especially back when they could banish someone at will.

I don't believe this s***. There is a genocide happening right now and I still have to go to work at 6 am. Wtf
This is very informative

Although I feel they take their conclusions too far, it's definitely valuable to have interpretations of early Islamic history that challenge the traditional view (in the same way there is academic study of the Bible and its historicity)
Taxes are fine
Over taxation bad
Misplaced funding of taxation money is super bad
Roman dead
Jesus dead
Taxes still alive
there is an entire body of work dedicated to the Bible and it’s accuracy dating back to God knows where
even if some superiors/higher ups changed the Bible at some point of time, it would inevitably be found out because the Bible is always being evaluated and checked to see if it aligns with the original texts and scriptures
that isn’t even mentioning other Christians around the world that could also check to see they’re doing that s*** correctly
honestly questioning the Bible’s veracity of all things is a pretty lazy way to try to dunk on the religion, it’s pretty robust all things considered if you ask me
There are books and stories that have been ripped out of the bible tho throughout history even your modern day bible doesnt have every single story.
Although you can seek out the more obscure and omitted from standard books as standalones or in very specific editions like book of Enoch (i think thats how you spell it).
I agree the bible has overall stayed the same especially in "theme" and message, but there are also documented eras where things have omitted or changed or (mostly verbally) just lied about for both nefarious as well as meaning well reasons (and also just plain old record keeping and the general passage of time and society changing that is very normal).
Even as far as into the 70s/80s USA speaking.
And really a lot of those changes and ripped out parts werent readily available like that or even known like that until the 90s to today.
And then even farther back if you want to get nerdy or i guess a bit "abstract" (idk the word for it) that there js even some evidence n further gheories that a lot of religions in thay vein of Christianity come from a singular older religion that splintered off into what we know as Christianity, Muslim, Buddhisim, Judaism, Catholic and iirc a few others where they are all very similar with even overlapping events, figures & periods even down to locales n similar locales that are just fragments or twist versions that just happened regionally and verbally way long ago.
I cant speak too deep on the other religions besides very surface level that are outside of the triangle of Christian, Judaisim & Catholic. But regardless its all very interesting tbh & proposes these "tales" are even way older. And of course some historical items, figures and locations have been proven real and happened in some form such as Jesus at the very least the man Jesus actually existed with his following etc.

Islam has that covered.
There is this thing called Hadith sciences 😂

We have a thread for it dude I don’t understand your gripe
Jesus was killed bc he represented non-governmental power for the ppl.
In a sense, Jesus may have been a proto-communist.

23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

They killed him bc he was making the proletariats think different.
how do you advise someone realize their own God nature?
I'm not asking to take the piss but really wanna know what you feel is a route to that experience in daily life
Sorry for the late reply to this fam. It's a good question and I'll try to answer it from a personal viewpoint.
From my understanding and perspective I'd say there are two paths for this. The one Jesus preached which was the path of love for everyone as if they are yourself. Essentially I believe he preached we/this is all one (everything is God) so when you practice love for others as yourself with oneness in mind you eventually dissolve that barrier of seperation between yourself and others. So just practicing being of service to others.
The other path I believe is the path of wisdom that Buddha spoke of which is a bit harder to explain for me. He spoke of self-enquiry. Questioning the true nature of reality and observing it objectively. Enquiring about yourself. Who are you? If you say I am whippet volverse or whatever your real name is, you know that was only the name given to you by whoever named you. When you remove all of the labels what is left? What is it that is doing the observing? The more you connect to this nameless thing (which is you) and the less you attach to all the random thoughts in your head the more you'll connect to your true nature. Meditation helps with this.
S*** ain't been easy for me but if I compare myself to who I was 5 years ago it is crazy.
