I think it's very safe to say that the retail investor frenzy throughout the last few years is one of the biggest online movements and pieces of culture, for better or worse.

Wall Street Bets was the epicenter of this and that's a place where everyone calls each other s. Started as a joke because they were gambling in one of the easiest stock markets in history but now that things are getting real it's just become a bit more pointed and sad. actually means your legitimately stupid again in this context, but seeing as it's a bit of a subculture it took a while for the term to permeate into the wider vernacular.
