One user ≠ the entire fanbase

You know as well as i do that there is a not insignificant portion of his fanbase that are just as ignorant regarding R&B as that dude is

not yet bc his career is so young relatively but he will be.

    Wth

Y'all (not you specifically) have no idea what the bar is for legendary status

R&B genre cannot be told without the Weeknd. He has one of the greatest mixtape series in all of modern music.

He has multiple number 1 albums, number 1 records, sold out arena tours, super bowl coachella,

how is he not a legend already?

  • I dare you to try it they're only 30 songs all together and you won't skip 1 song

  • There are musical legends with like, documentaries on Netflix and s***, with like classic albums, that don't have the career that abel has.

I would say not yet for some reason. Feel like Drake had a bigger impact.

Bruno is revered for his talent
His signing, pop hit writing, dance, multi-instrumentalist abilities are what made him greater than his peers

He wasn't here to push any genre, he came to entertain... He's a great multi talented entertainer.

I know he’s a multi-talented great entertainer. Probably the most talented dude of his gen. But the discussion is about originality in style, which he does not have

Drake and Weeknd are different lanes. Don’t think Drake’s career prevents Weeknd from being considered a legend at all

I know. Just comparing both impacts.

I think both will end up being legends anyway.

And yeah, Bruno may be unoriginal and conventional but lbr y’all hate him more for his lighthearted tone than his lack of originality now that I think about it

  • 3 #1 albums
    Coachella headliner
    Super bowl performer
Historically and critically acclaimed mixtape series
numerous top 40 records including multiple top 10's, multiple number 1 records
    sold out arena tours
    iconography

Someone please explain to me why this career isn't the stuff of legend lol
