    Miguel fire, love his music

I feel like unlike Frank & Abel, Miguel was the one that kinda lost his way, something went wrong where he couldn’t reach that next level

maybe it was the leg drop? or the entire s***appeal idek

100% the leg drop lol its sad

I really don’t think there is anybody close. Honestly.

    that’s missing the point

    I’m not saying they’re comparable
I’m saying they’re the closest two which they blatantly are
Their careers are very similar to MJ and Prince just at a noticeably lower level

Y’all are allowed to draw comparisons between artists like MJ and Prince without saying an artist is on that tier at all

The Weeknd is becoming a legend on his own accord.

Comparing him to past greats is disrespectful to both him and them.

Yeah. I suppose they would be the two I would choose. I think Usher got closer than Frank and Abel did tbh. And I love Abel and Frank and would listen to them over Usher any day.

  • Kiss Land is a 10/10 album by the way. Just leaving that here.

I think Usher had a closer like 12-18 months to that level than Weeknd has

But Weeknd has had a better 5 year period than Usher has had

Fair. Usher was ridiculous in his prime.

Frank isn’t doing world tours and super bowl half time shows, you’d have to be pretty “overrated” to reach that level don’t you think?

you feel like just cause pitchfork gave him a 9.5 and your favourite artists love him that he shouldn’t be held to that acclaim when he’s dropped blonde and co?

I do not give a s*** about pitchfork or any other ratings or what some bald ass melon says about music. But Frank has been overhyped as f***, especially in KTT. He has a lot of greats songs, but he lacks a lot what The Weeknd has. Frank has a lot of potential, but we rarely get to see what he has to offer. Endless was trash in most parts, but was hyped as f*** here. Blonde is deemed as a top 3 project in the 2010s but really falls apart after the 2nd part and with it's interludes that really set apart the mood. Frank also lacks longevity, dropping way too rarely.
Weeknd also has a lot of filler and forgettable songs. But has a lot more highlights starting from the OG mixtapes, Kiss Land and After Hours really sealed the deal.

Btw since when do you have to be MJ level to become a legend. Than MJ would literally be the only music legend.

Idk if he can be regarded as an R&B legend when he’s never really even touched conventional r&b

Don’t see how it’s overrated to make good music and get your bread at the same time.

Frank drop an occasional album, goes back home and watches Netflix and never come back outside and niggas talk like he reinventing music.
