This isn’t a thread bashing Donda, I love the album.
I just was thinking about how we are aware of several versions of most songs existing because of the way the album was rolled out.
It occurred to me most people would probably make at least some changes based on earlier versions.
I personally would have preferred LP2 Praise God to what we got, and something other than the version of Tell the Vision that was on the album.
A lot of people like the huh c’mon sample on New Again that was ultimately removed.
Some people might prefer LP2 Hurricane, Heaven & Hell, Remote w/ Cudi, etc.
I’m curious if there’s anyone who thinks the version we got (or one of the versions we got, it’s been changed already) is the ideal version.
Demoitis.
That's why I only heard the listening parties once while they were going down and waited for the album release
It's natural, that what happens when u play 3 different version of songs live in front of the world
Only thing I want is the explicit version of the album + the song Donda with Pusha and Ye trading verses.
I’d also love OG Life of the Party too but I’m sure that will be put on the next album maybe
I swear Heaven and Helll LP 2 was harder but maybe I’m imaging things
its cause he was mumbling sounded harder somehow

I was saying the beat, I thought the bass was more fast like there was more kicks , ima see if I can find it
I love the album and it's very substantial and actually thematically coherent. But with so many songs, I'm still stung by the lack of inclusion of Never Abandon, Life of the Party, and Daylight. I was listening to the songs in the vague Vegas tracklist order earlier, including those three tracks, and it just seems like a stronger, tighter, purposeful album that way, despite all the great songs that got left off. And while I've advocated for Donda Chant as a great opener to get you into the headspace of the album, I actually prefer the longer version as a weird interlude. I think in some cases, such as the lack of inclusion of the Donda verse and Never Abandon and other potentially more painfully personal songs, he lost his nerve a bit and got cold feet, but imo they'd give the album extra heft and bring it somewhere closer to a Plastic Ono Band level of emotional intensity.

I think he dif the same for JIK. Version from listening was more cohesive, tracks seems to be more worked. Good tracks such Up From The Ashes or LA Monster have been removed, Selah, the storm have been cut
the uh cmon sample is crazily overrated

lmao you wasnt getting high on your own supply
He needed way more colisseum lyrics on heaven and hell. And the clap/bass drop transcends you more on the LP2 version. Is the choir more pitched down on LP2? Could've literally extracted souls with that

Facts I don’t see how anyone can argue in favor of taking Pusha off the album
