I think it was more a cross between Get out and Sorry to bother you. Haven't seen Josie and the p****cats so not sure how that comparison might work
A cross between those two sounds perfect, I’ll watch this soon
I deleted the Undercover brother comment because that's all I had initially remembered from that movie but then I remembered the whole "whitewash" thing you pointed out...so i can see that comparison.
And yeah on page one i suggested "If you are into black films I would say to give this a watch"....whats wrong with that? i dont know you, I don't know if you're black, white, latino, etc.
Yeah…so you projected onto me what you only remembered about Undercover Brother which was afros
You projected onto me “if I’m into Black movies”, you’re takin’ jabs and being disengenuine…a movie is a movie…you know what you doin’…don’t be obtuse! You sound like somebody white tryna prove they blackness by comin’ at me in slick way butI peep everything homie…
This movie not for you though lol
What movie you talkin’ bout? because I don’t see how your response makes sense to what I said…which was a response to a suggestion you made to me about making a thread based on how Black people are represented in film…
Movie a modern age undercover brother with a splash of black dynamite. Loved it.

Oh damn, this s*** sounds exhausting
What a weird response over absolutely nothing
It’s a good movie 🍿
Totally worth the watch, I understand what you mean @op when you said you felt like you watched this movie before.
It’s a little cliche, but that’s not a bad thing when done right.

Taggin’ ya girl in was doin’ a lot!!!…Have a good one slim!!!…aka you can talk to yourself cuz I ain’t replyin’ to you no more…lol…
It’s look interesting but I’m kind of tired of stereotypes of Black people in movies. It gives me Blaxploitation vibes. With that being said, is ‘They Cloned Tyrone’ worth the watch?
Update: 7/24/23
Ok…so I finished it yesterday and here’s my synopsis:
1. It’s a good movie even though it may be a bit cliche’d…
2. Felt like a cross between Undercover Brother…Josie & The P****cats and Austin Powers Meets The Hood…with a dash of Blaxploitation…
3. Had a good surprise cameo to play the arc villain…
4. They’re doin’ this s*** for real…
5. Overall felt like I’ve seen this movie done before…
good review. we've def seen the movie like ten thousands times already. they just said nigga a bunch of times so I guess that's novelty.
s*** is snowfall meets westworld
