I agree with the girl. there were probably a lot of used cars out there in the same price range and they could have asked her what she liked or went car shopping together to not end up like this. Poor communication skills really the cause of 99% of situations.

Bro she's 16. Does the car go from point a to point b should be her only concern.

Besides, driving a scraper builds character

  • Jun 12, 2024

She’s ungrateful and spoiled but at the same time I get it

Some people don’t wanna settle for what they view as a piece of s*** car. If she’s willing to stand on it then it’s no big deal

There isn’t a good reason to not involve her in the decision. People like at least the illusion of choice. It’s dumb af to surprise someone with an expensive gift that you not sure they’ll like, when you could literally just talk to them first.

this is obvious outrage bait but in all seriousness the parents take most of the blame here, wouldn’t have been a big deal for them to treat their child like a human being by literally asking her what kind of car she’d want within a given budget. some of y’all revealing the abusive parents y’all had itt. she’s 16 years old and they lecturing her like she’s 6

Have you looked at the car market recently? Who's to say there was anything else in that range. They probably still paid a good amount for the Buick

16 year old is old enough to realize her pettiness and entitlement is silly given the circumstance. sure? her already seemingly super generous parents should have asked her what car she wanted? but they didn’t and still did something super nice for her so she shouldn’t be b****ing.

look at me tho calling a 16 year old petty on some rage bait i have now engaged in. smh! they got me

If you ask for a car, and get a car as a gift, and turn it down because it wasn’t what you expected, you’re ungrateful especially when they didn’t have to get you a car and were just doing what you asked. There is no say on the niceness of a freebie, otherwise buy it yourself? Lmfao. Beggars literally can’t be choosers.

OP still has his virgin star on and wants to create twitter threads, but its not like it'll stop people from having a 10-page argument on here

I didn’t even link the exact tweet and gave my own thoughts to spark a discussion, stop being against literally any and every thing that comes from Twitter.

This is what I almost despise about social media the most. Everything is catered to keep you angry, emotional, but most importantly engaged in s*** that is irrelevant in the realms of personal growth and independent thinking
