Probably. He's associating closely with Drake and we all know how polarizing Drake tends to be for whatever reason.

For Yachty, I think its probably like the J Cole effect in that his fanbase really love him and support him, but that tends to rub some people the wrong way. So people start rooting against him subconsciously to spite his supporters since they see it as obnoxious. Terminally online stuff in short

People like to learn about other people's lives, especially famous people. It's how we are as social animals. I get it's annoying to them but it just comes off as wanting the best of both worlds in an entitled way. Just do what most artists do and keep your personal life private and stop referencing things from your personal life in your music if you don't want people to care what you do.
