Why would we care what non Muslims think? They aren’t Muslim for a reason. If they agreed with our way of life they would be Muslims. Simple. On the topic of ‘looking bad’, bad people exist in every group, but ours is highlighted, because they utilise us as boogeyman. It doesn’t matter how ‘good’ or ‘one of them’ we act. They wouldn’t accept us regardless. Hence why he feels embarrassed by these guys, because he feels that image from them is projected onto him for no reason. He’s right to feel that way, but he doesn’t realize people that view him that way, even though he doesn’t act anything like those guys, is because they are xenophobic/racist to a group they willingly don’t want to like. Not because of some YouTubers kaffir barely know about. Having self hate is useless. The problem with how they view us lies with them. Not because some people ‘give us a bad image’ while they torch and kill innocent civilians year in year out abroad and domestically. In a world without racism/xenophobia they would have a much worse image then us.

Quick question, is that you in your avy? At first I thought it was a white food mocking islam but you seem to be an actual Muslim.

A muslim that has to integrate into the society he lives in. You can keep your faith and still adopt things from other cultures bro. Culture and faith is not the same thing. If you want to get anywhere in life you have no choice but to integrate to a certain extent.

you said you don’t pray because you don’t have time. this has nothing to do with acclimating into society. You’re Muslim first in all regards.

Do you know the scholarly ikhtilaf on the one who abandons prayer? They’re either deemed kufr or falling into major sin.

Praying 5 times a day is near impossible if you want to compete in western society, and no i don’t think abandoning prayers make you kufr, as long as your heart is in the right place and you know where your faith stands what else do you need.

It’s not nearly impossible. Get your priorities in order.

As for your thoughts, they are nothing more than irrelevant.

    Surah Maryam, Ayat 59:

But there came after them successors who neglected prayer and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil.

‘Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated that his father said:
“The Messenger of Allah (ï·ș) said: ‘The covenant that distinguishes between us and them is prayer; so whoever leaves it, he has committed Kufr.’”

    Ibn Majah, Hadith 1132

You’re free to interpret the quran the way you want to, i’m free to do the same. I don’t think the quran is meant to be followed strictly, you can’t follow all the rules in this day and age.

it’s literally the second pillar of your faith ya ikhwan. It is your only direct connection to the Creator you testify about in the first pillar.

You’re 100% right, every prayer takes literally 5-10 minutes. 25-50 min of your day being allocated to what you will be questioned about first in your grave is not hindering anyone in anyway in this world. People need to get their priorities straight.
