That's tough you got no cousins?
Alhamdullilah this Ramadhan has been really good for me. I feel better than ever spiritually.
Struggling lot with my iman
Iโm avoiding a lot of toxic things but not for the sake of my deen I think
Finding it hard to feel a strong conviction to practice

Iโm an Arab Christian convert to Islam and I feel you
Another teraweeh done Alhamdullilah
I feel like I've been astray for a while but finally reconnecting. Alot of people have passed away around me the last few years...it puts things in perspective. Remember those in the grave now will be begging to come back and make Salah and doing more for the Deen than they had done in this dunya. Don't let this month be a waste brothers
@op put ๐ or โช๏ธ in title
Some guy told me something very weird I wanted to verify. Weโre Sunni, but he told me that Shias were the original Muslims/the orthodox basically? is that true?
the most orthodox way to be a Muslim would be to be a Quranist (someone who only follows the Quran teachings) which would probably be the right thing to do since any other books/Hadiths are written by humans 100s of years after the prophet. The quran is the only source we muslims believe is from Allah. Ainโt no such thing as Shias etc. mentioned in the quran cause people started interpreting and forming Islam the way they want it to be. If someone thinks the work of our god would be imperfect or needs any other new rules added by men then heโs disprecting God and his faith. I personally was born Sunni because I am Turkish but the older I get the more I realize the quran can only be the truth. Many of the rituals: how I pray and other things I still adapted from being Sunni tho but when someone would ask what I am I would just call me a Muslim
Damn thats interestig. Turks in Netherlands and Germany are EXTREMELY proud/nationalistic. Even so much so that the Dutch say that the Turks failed to integrate. But being nationalistic is actually considered haram I think. Just sad how much they love being from Turkey but forget their Islamic roots by living like western people all the time. Makes me respect Moroccans so much (second biggest group of Muslims in Netherlands). It doesnt matter how much they sin, most of em will always perform their salah, fast, go to the mosque etc. Turks on the other hand are more likely to skip prayer and ramadan. Seen a TikTok couple days ago and it said that most people in Istanbul arent even fasting
thatโs cap. Many people in Turkey are believers. The rise of conservative values through Erdogan was a proof of that even though it has its negatives. Cities like Istanbul and Izmir are known for being more secular and westernized tho. The youth is basically 50/50 Iโd say. Nationalism is a big problem canโt lie

Same here but we can Use the odd blessed nights to our advantage homie.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (๏ทบ) said, "Whoever fasted the month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith (i.e. belief) and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven, and whoever stood for the prayers in the night of Qadr out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven ."
