calling PND a GOAT is a reach
he's a legend for his era but misses the mark for GOAT status as a solo artist
I think he's a goat Holistically in terms of the sound he pioneered, all the deep cuts (Church of Low Battery) and his sparse hits, and the songs he gave away like Work & Wild Thoughts, and S tier collabs like Members Only & Preach.
I think if you're a fan of PND and his sound, there's a case for calling him a GOAT
Kiss Land no question. Abel was always Drake's more talented son. Party is like Jason Todd or Tim Drake. He's good in his own right but never lived up to the original. Pretty, Adaption, Love In The Sky, Live For, s***s a 10/10. PND is a solid 8/10 with Wus Good, Over Here being the standout tracks
I feel like PND sound is of it's time and a bit dated but Kiss Land's throwback elements to the synth + dark wave sound has helped it age better or at least not sound so early 2010's if that makes sense

i would argue that neither Party or the Weeknd are Drake's "son" musically
they just have a lot of overlap in sound
but they never aspired to follow in his footsteps
Drake's sons are people like Bryson Tiller, A Boogie, Jaden Smith, Trippie, & Juice WRLD to an extent

In PND1's defense there still has not been an artist that can replicate that sound.
pnd1

KL was peak Weeknd brand as far as vibes and aesthetic. He mastered that sexy goth rnb s***.
thats actually tough @op but probably pnd1
id have to relisten to both, very special projects

Maybe not GOAT but important for R&B in the 2010's for sure whether you like him or not. He was instrumental in helping push that underwater sound, the partynextdoor preset that every youtube and soundcloud type beat dudes were using. That's too iconic to leave him out the GOAT conversation plus his work with Drake, Kanye, Rihanna, Beyonce, Post Malone, etc it's not too much of a reach
pnd1 tbh
