He’s great and sure he is better than Biggie in certain tracks. Biggie has less songs and it’s hard to beat Biggie overall because he didn’t really make many mid-tier songs. Ice Cube has made a lot of music over time so not all of it is as high quality as biggies releases but still there are definitely songs where Ice Cube proves he can be the best of the best.

His career was going to go one of two ways
Either he stayed with puff and went too far with the shiny suit s*** and dropped a watered down album
Or he leaves puff and then can’t recapture the magic
Then maybe around 2002 he comes back with like “Still Ready” and kind of recaptures the feeling but it’s still not the same

Classiquefeel like prodigy is simultaneously underrated and overrated
He's not crazy technical but he's seriously poetic as a songwriter and had a dope flow and voice
Biggie's grown off me a bit in recent years, as has Cube tbh, the latter of whom is in the same category of technical skill as Prodigy.

I’d argue Cubes music has aged amazingly. DC is my 2nd favorite Cube album. His most popular/best selling album was The Predator. AmeriKKKas went platinum too. He has a few massive all time hip hop songs, part of one of the goat groups—and he had a few classic songs in the early 2000s. Cube a certified 🐐 I been on his goat case for years lol

Im not even saying cube not nice, but he was clearly surpassed when that middle generation of 90s rappers emerged. Like the level of skill advanced significantly after cube, face, g rap etc, and it really shows in the bars.

but Cube got that too
It’s not that crazy if you’re a true fan of rap from previous eras and can enjoy Cube’s taste in production
but by the same token, Big was literally talking about having friends that rape kids, so if you put Biggie over Cube, you’re looking past a lot of questionable bars
