  • I believe trans children should decide who our Secretary of Education is, our presidents going forth should be billionaires, and poor people are just as capable as white people.

Fam it’s like you genuinely believe the complete opposite of the truth. Please say sike

Corruption still exists but look up Tammany hall and the robber barons like Rockefeller and Carnegie. If you think political corruption is bad now, wait till you read about before 1910s

Centrist. Socially left, more economically conservative to a degree.

People should be able to do whatever they choose and love how they want as long as they are not mentally or physically harming anyone, and billionaires should exist and we shouldn’t penalize people for being wealthy.

Businesses should be kept in check by the government so things don’t get too out of hand, but they should only step in in situations of unfair practices/monopoly creation/workers rights

I BELIEVE THESE DAYS WE ARE TOO QUICK TO TRY AND PUT SOMEONE INTO SOME KIND OF POLITICAL OR SOCIAL BOX VIA THEIR BASE BELIEFS. ITT WE GIVE REASONING FOR OUR BELIEFS IN A RESPECTFUL MANNER. I WANT DISCUSSION ACROSS THE AISLE

Me: pro-black socially conservative fiscally liberal

I’m black so that’s always first and foremost to me personally

I used to be super duper “oh la di da do what you want love who you want type” up until sophomore year of college. I saw kids at this gay pride rally playing with grown men on leashes and I was like “hmm maybe there was something to that slippery slope” thing. Also as a survivor of child sexual abuse a lot of that drag queen story time s*** just don’t sit right with my spirit. I believe a return to traditional family values is key (DISCLAIMER: I’m not homophobic. I like some freaky deaky s*** myself. My POV is just simply, why can’t we keep that s*** in the bedroom? Everyone don’t need to know and quite frankly it’s nothing to be prideful of)

I believe in reparations and UBI because anyone who fails to acknowledge the millennia long head start that white and Jewish people have had on minority Americans is an idiot.

i would not call it a "millennia" head start. especially in America. Irish for example were definitely ridiculed and f***ed over in America, as well as in their home country

because no one should be restricted to grow as large as they want.

thats literally the only reason for innovation and progress. the drive to be successful.

if there is a cap on being successful, all our best and driven minds would likely move to other countries and innovate elsewhere

Billionaire can only exist at the expense of others

That’s not the only reason for innovation

You can be successful without being filth rich. Being filthy rich also does not mean success.

Lol you don’t honestly believe that last statement.

If most people in this country believe by making some innovation that will make them a billionaire we may be dumber than I thought. And what do you consider innovation? Something the vast majority of this country won’t have a chance to do that’s limited to a select few individuals?

Lavender Mafia promoting the gay agenda. Lemme finish!

Why? Cause I'm queer and that necessitates that I support social justice while also being skeptical of the government which has a long history of being anti-LGBTQ especially those of color like me. So my tendencies are towards more individual rights because I know what it feels like not being the majority of society in more than one way. True change will only come when we help people realize that the social constructs they were born into are not absolutes, that they are relative and that those can and should be changed.

"Gay agenda" is about helping people wake up from this simulation/paradigm and realize that they can change their social identity, their idea of themselves and their place in society, and that we need a government that is helping to increase social mobility so that people don't feel trapped in the lives they are living and can afford to dream big. I think a lot of people's anxiety/stress/fears/unhappiness stem from their inner selves not being in line with their outer selves because they find themselves forced to live a life they have to live because this simulation dictates that we have to think like capitalists when it's a social construct like most other things. We are in desperate need of a government that is changing the paradigm away from quantity and efficiency towards quality and equity because nurturing individuality, creativity and social mobility is the only way to drive true innovation and sustainable long-term growth that doesn't come at the cost of individuality, society or the environment. I dunno... that's just me. 🤷

Lavender Mafia is the group of people who want to change that paradigm through whatever power they have and I think that's great.

i think no one should die because they’re poor because we live in a time where it is possible and so there is a moral responsibility to make that happen

what's your opinion on how the gay community has essentially lost the power to gatekeep their own community (not even their fault, by any means)? Instead of like, gays gatekeeping their actual community, it's basically done for them inadvertently by rich white liberals in the media and press. How do you feel like this could be fixed?
