man is the definition of hollywood fake deep. he's ripping off funk records wholesale and it's been found he doesn't even listen to the genre like that. also the shirtless beard combo as a way of trying to garner respect is hilarious

His new album didn’t do that at all you must’ve forgotten the play button

I love tyler and gambino but I also noticed the rebrand from “weird edgy outsider black guy” to whatever it is when tyler starts talking about being moisturized and s***. Lol idk how to put it into words

They perfectly tapped into how to market themselves and everything they touch to a certain flavor of black person/POC that popped up after 2016. I’m a hypocrite tho cuz I like a lot of their work in various mediums

At some point rap fans gotta learn that you don't have to be white to gentrify the genre. That's what these ppls music is. Tyler and gambino that is. Ofc kid laroi and Jack harlow and others too but that s***s too obvious to talk about

You can hear childish gambinos complete lack of testicular fortitude and integrity in his b****made singing voice. Redbone worked though

Mac Miller. It was a short and quick change. The Pitchfork article comes out and that happy go lucky dude wasn't there anymore.

Macadelic comes out, then at the end of the year Doodling in the Key of C Sharp came out, and that's when I really knew.

macadelic was peak d*** binge music, had me living like the niggas from fear an loathing

bro i dont even like or listen to tyler or gambino but this is bullshit lmao. tyler an gambino do not rap about nothing that would make them "gentrifiers". if they was out here talkin bout taking niggas out an trapping d**** then maybe

like drake u can argue is kid of gentrifying s*** cus he comes in talking about mob ties an s*** but he not rly bout that s***. even then tho is it rly cus who listens to drake an starts selling d**** or whatever

Bino was a late bloomer and finally understood and grew into himself. We don’t all find ourselves at the same time. Bino always been the nerd and he finally comfortable in his own skin. I got nothing but respect for that

Plus he always been the same person. It just takes money and chances to prove yourselves to the world

I think he found a way to dupe the public successfully using money. Tyler has done something similar to a lesser degree. There's not single piece of gambinos work that sounds like it comes from a real experience of his. Even his name coming from a generator tells you the absolute lack of personal input he has in his work and likely his life too. It's all commodified versions. Commodified social commentary, commodified artistry, commodified weirdness and ofc commodified black. He's not even present and is a walking caricature made for blogs to feel important

Wtf is good with you? LMAO
