There's not single piece of gambinos work that sounds like it comes from a real experience of his. Even his name coming from a generator tells you the absolute lack of personal input he has in his work and likely his life too. It's all commodified versions. All things considered, MBDTF kind of had it all and holds up well. Was very exciting with the Good Friday’s and the film, the multiple artworks, the red.
I have nostalgia for 808s and grad eras a lot too and those could be my personal favorites too but I feel like from a more objective view, I can see how they were more “of their time”

Nah he's watched the anime movies and made tweets bout them, dunno bout the shows. Plus he has a whole Akira manga collection which he was accused of stealing last year
