Stupid post.
First off, The Off-Season is J. Cole's 6th studio album. He has never referred to it as a mixtape or anything other than an album so I don't get where you're bringing up it being a mixtape from.
No one tried to drag Cole. I actually said "this is the range the biggest artists will do now because pure sales are dead." How is that me dragging him? I just pointed out how people are now using "the album doesn't have any radio singles!" because for the first time since 2013, he's about to do less than 300K first week when on his last 3 albums that did better and also didn't have any radio smash singles, no one brought up that fact.
No one is undermining DLDT's numbers. It was VERY successful for a throwaway mixtape but people wanted to Drake drag simply because it didn't debut at #1. Now, the biggest rappers are dropping albums and aren't doing that much better than a surprise demo tape Drake dropped and niggas are jumping through hoops looking for excuses. All I'm doing is pointing out the hypocrisy.
I don't get your point with Eminem. He has always and will always do numbers. Using his surprise ALBUM, released before the pandemic hit, to drag Drake who releases a demo tape during the pandemic and only did 56K units less is very silly to me, sorry, especially considering that DLDT had sold just as much as MTBMB before Eminem releases a deluxe and got a huge boost.
Dark Lane Demo is listed as a album
it was, i remember cole trying to go to target to buy a copy but there was only one available
Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure he moved some units from digital as well.
KOD was available 1st week physicals
Dude in here hating like a loser and most of his created threads are about cole
Not gonna get anything out of the discourse with this clown talking in circles
If you gonna call DLDT a mixtape of loosies then The Off Season can be considered a mixtape with songs that wasn't gonna make The Fall Off lol
It's not.

In today's era you drop a new project on streaming it's a album lol
Has the Universal tag

Didn't Cole explicitly state that TFO is an album though.

A project is what the artist calls it. I don't make the rules. IYRTITL outsold many rap albums but it's still regarded as a mixtape because that's what Drake called it. More Life outsold many albums but it isn't regarded as a studio album for Drake because he didn't call it an album. What's so hard to understand?
The Off-Season is very much a J. Cole album. Not y'all trying to turn it to a mixtape when Cole has NEVER called it that
Didn't Cole explicitly state that TFO is an album though.
I'm not saying it's not a album
But it's a continuation of The Come Up, The Warm Up, Friday Night Lights
All mixtapes
Also he dropped The Climb Back and Lion King on Ice almost a year ago because this was supposed to be the release of The Fall Off

Oh, so you're one of those people lmao.
You said it counts as an album. I provide fact that it doesn't and you're still disputing it.

You provided a site where anyone can edited it
What's facts is that it has the Universal tag and a #1 song
That's a album in my view

Detroit was a mixtape. Detroit 2 was an album. See how that works?

You really are stupid. Yikes.

Lmao he never even referred to it as an album. It was the road to the fall off. This is no different than when rick ross gave us rich forever just to give us something before GFID came out. It's a mixtape.
You bringing up past albums with no singles is a way to drag cole and you were still wrong about that.
Yeah it's a "throwaway". Did drake call it a throwaway? No. You did. I didn't say it wasn't successful. I simply said it didn't do that well first week and yall immediately defend him but when someone defends cole all of a sudden you want to criticize the defense with inaccurate statements. FHD had a radio single. 4YEO had a radio single. KOD had a radio single. Whether they worked or not is irrelevant but he did in fact have singles.
Detroit was a mixtape. Detroit 2 was an album. See how that works?
Detroit 2 was called Don Life at the beginning

It's a continuation of a mixtape series by extension of entry name that was released as a studio album.
That's all there is to it lol.
Thread reeks

"The Off Season coming soon... All roads lead to The Fall Off - Cole"
"Fall Off Era"
Yeah, the off season isnt a mixtape
No one saying it's not a album though
You're saying you can compare something that is a studio album to that of something stated to be a mixtape of leaks.
I'm just saying that's dumb.
