Being able to criticize your past actions/beliefs isn’t maturity?
Not when you repeat same mistakes
Do we forget he stepped out on Fire Squad about white rappers and the grammies just to immediately say afterwards “oh Im just playing” on that same verse?
Hell no lmfaoooo
i mean you'd have to be speaking for yourself right? cause people are people, and age is most definitely not a factor in stuff like that lol everybody operates differently
i mean yes hes grown but at the same time one of the biggest rappers in the world; debating on competing with the 2 other biggest rappers in the world.
I understand the hiding the hands sentiment about Cole but acting like hes a teenage p**** for bowing out is just lame imo. Like the level and scrutiny they're all dealing with is incomparable and probably nothing we'll ever experience
Cole scrutiny is having his discography called into question man he’ll be fine lmao

the brain finishes developing at 27. I’ll take into consideration the way people are raised can help or inhibit their ability to inherit that thing most folks call a spine.
But if you mean to tell me you at the age of 39 or 40 with a whole family is still falling into harmful things via peer pressure?
Yes, in my opinion, I’m indeed looking at you funny.
I think 7 minute drill was really how Cole felt about Kendrick tbh.
Like u can be a fan but I’m not infantilizing a near 40 y/o man that had no issues about dissing 17 year olds or a grown man (repeatedly, middle child subs included) that he KNOWS isnt a battle rapper and to this day STILL wont tell us what his real issue with him is (I think Cole hates ye out of envy, that one sided beef has always rubbed me the wrong way tho)
But diss other grown ups that u know can and will hit you back (lyrically) and it’s “ my bad dawg”

Ok, "hell no" and "I'm looking at you funny" are two different things and the latter makes more sense to me lol. I could give a damn when the brain finishes developing, observing some "adults" out here, you'd never be able to tell.
And I'm talking more generally by the way, every day life s***. Not this beef.

Everyday life s*** the same. I today will/have cut off folks IRL if pretty much, you cant tell who tf they are one day from the next. Following fads or whatever crowds, it’s fairweather and it makes me kinda uncomfortable.
Ideally your 30s should be about establishing your own sense of self after bumping your head through your 20s tbh.
You're also most likely not in charge of other adults livelihoods, who grew up and got into rap because of battle culture
I hear niggas but I vehemently disagree with everyone tryna act like that nigga not human and that he hasn't displayed this character his entire career
Like I wasn't even mad at the apology like that cuz that's how he felt, but imagine if he never had to release that 7 Min drill joint, then hit the stage. I believe the outcome would be way different.
J Cole is coward and I’m saying that as a fan of his
Nah, just gotta wait til Kendrick is in a decline, nitrous’d state of mind and we’ll get that 10 minute exercise record
It’s slick snake s***
I just want him to stand on something for once lol. If you're gonna be a killer, be a killer. If you just wanna do your thing with your friends, then do that.

This is disingenuous man lol cole is actually friends with Drake and Kendrick and had a relationship with them since his career lol. You can't compare them with pump/purpp or ye

"I" "makes me" "ideally"
I feel you on all that, I'm just throwing in the acknowledgement that s*** doesn't go that way just because it's supposed to or whatever, ya know? people are gonna f*** up all throughout how ever many decades they get to see. life!
Sometimes it feels like Cole was prolly the only one among the "big three" fanning the flame of the "big three" talk, outside the fans

The kiddie gloves that bro gets handled with is insane

His character of throwing stones then trying to hide his hand?
Sounds like some corny nigga s***. Why would I support or defend that?

These pleas y'all copping are crazy.

From the outside looking in, it did seem that way but I'm not gonna comment on their closeness. All I'm gonna say is, when push came to shove, both Kendrick and Drake understood the assignment. Yeah, they had genuine pent up animosity, but if Cole could see where the s*** was going, why even Stoke the fire for a three-way battle with 7 Min drill?

I genuinely don't understand how that's supposed to be looked at as maturity

The scrutiny is what comes with being at that level. I can empathize with Cole realizing he ain’t really built for it but then I look at Kendrick and Drake who actually competed and it just makes him look bad in comparison. You think this whole ordeal was easy on their mental health?
Like I wasn't even mad at the apology like that cuz that's how he felt, but imagine if he never had to release that 7 Min drill joint, then hit the stage. I believe the outcome would be way different.
Early in the beef thread I said he shouldn't release a record knowing how Cole views both Drake and Dot
All this killing s***, it's just rap. At least for Cole, but it's very obvious it wasn't just rap between Drake and Kendrick. If it were to stay competitive instead of personal I think it would've sat better with Cole
I don't let mistakes define a man
Hell no lmfaoooo
You giving humanity far too much credit lol, whole lotta baby boys/man children out there lol
His character of throwing stones then trying to hide his hand?
Sounds like some corny nigga s***. Why would I support or defend that?
I mean do what you want, I never said you couldn't
For me, I just don't view s*** like y'all
We both just think each other are wrong
