Agreed
Excellent album

I said "near flawless" surely there are flaws, the iphone mic recording for one, the lack of lyrical depth is another.
But for an 11-song project aimed to encapsulate the feeling of returning to faith and the pressures/feelings that come with it I feel like it conveys its message pretty well and has a really wholesome feel-good vibe on it that makes it distinct from other ye releases from the same time period.
Through listening to it you can feel that this is an album he made while truly feeling happy and content with the direction he's taking. Can't say the same about DONDA for example.
Slow down with DONDA slander
sunday service and james turrell might be peak christian aesthetics.
sunday service album stays on repeat to this day
@yesac
I always respected how brave and unapologetic it was, but I don't have much to say about it now!
Gave it one last spin before the day’s up, what an era that was. Crazy to think where I was 4 years ago too
overhated album felt like kanye was in a much better space mentally than he's in since basically covid started
Still don't understand why he scrapped the version he showed a month before. That was way better, released version is bad
Up From The Ashes and LA Monster should have made the final cut
Slow down with DONDA slander
It’s not DONDA slander I adore that album and sometimes rate it higher than JIK it’s just that I always feel like he was in a very bad place with the divorce and all while making a solid chunk of that album
Still don't understand why he scrapped the version he showed a month before. That was way better, released version is bad
Up From The Ashes and LA Monster should have made the final cut
Which version do you mean? I wanna delve into these JIK versions cuz I remember avoiding all leaks and some snippets because I feared demoitis lol

Both songs are the definition of one listen classics. LA Monster in particular is beyond repetitive.
