SegaDreamFlashPosted itt earlier but she more or less said she was tired of people bringing up her abuse cuz she feels like those people don’t really care they just do it to flex moral superiority, she essentially said that the media and the way people took her trauma and made it their own hurt her and her family more than the actual assault.

i think she has a point with the latter thing that the only reason people cared was because it was someone famous; if it wasn't a famous director no one would care and there would be no coverage of it really. being at the center of something this vile with the extra layer of knowing you're only getting attention not intrinsically because of what was done to you but rather the context of who did it must be legitimately awful to try to comprehend no less when you're 13 like that. the only other time things like this get mainstream coverage is basically if the acts are depraved beyond human comprehension (i.e. Sexton Family) or if there's disputes over the legal aspects of it (i.e. college campus rape cases).

I mean it’s her experience so you can’t really call her "wrong" but damn that’s sad as hell hope she comes to a different conclusion about it for her own sake but she’s older now and is probably set in how she views it.
She's 60 years old, she's not changing her views on anything.
I personally think it's WILD to say that s*** about the nigga that raped you but to want her to come to a different conclusion is kinda infantilizing her when it's her lived experience.
She's come out and said time and time again she's tired of people using her experience to make a point and as out of pocket as it sounds,
she's still the victim in the situation and nobody's listening to her cuz it doesn't line up with how they think she should feel.

Yeah there was this clip I watched where she said she felt like the judge involved in the case didn't feel like he cared about her assault more so the attention that the case was getting.
She said the media cycle around it caused her family a great deal of stress, to the point where her mom left her job and that she was pretty much viewed as some type of prop cuz they're speaking on how she feels without knowing how she actually feels.
Basically that the concern doesn't come from a genuine place.

What I'm saying is, THIS incident should be trending rather than those text messages. Cool, leaking the text messages lead to this coming out, now that they are out, something should be done if this really did happen.
