I was wondering that too at first but here’s my theory: at the beginning, the monkey murks everyone except for young Steven Yeun. They have a mutual sense of understanding, but the monkey gets shot. Similarly, when OJ looks up at the monster, I felt that they had a sense of mutual understanding/respect and the monster just left him alone (you never see him being lifted up). Just like the monkey, not long after this moment, the monster gets killed.

I absolutely loved the credits rolling in orange. I don’t know if it was because I was blazed but that s*** felt so calming after journeying through all the tension in this film 😄 which I feel like lowkey was the point

Yes,cinematography in this was top tier,the night scenes were so perfect in how they captured darkness but thus movie looked pristine in the most cinematic way possible.
