Here's an interview with Hittman from 2006
"Dubcnn: I think Ben Baller said you would write for Ice Cube?
Hittman: That was something that I was considering at that time, but he already had his writer and he was cool with that. So that was something I ended up passing on."
S*** caught me off guard so I did more research and here's Ice Cube talking about ghostwriting in general:
"I don't think it ever mattered in record making," Cube said when asked about the importance of self-penned lyrics in hip-hop, "I don't think people care what it takes for you to make a good record, just make sure it's good." Also comparing the process to building a house, Cube added that you do get "extra points" in his book if you write your own rhymes.
Update:
Del the Funkee Homosapien also ghostwrote "Gangsta's Fairytale" off AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted
“I had the chance to do that just to get some bread in my pocket.” Del maintains that his cousin loved writing, rapping, and the creative spirit. “Cube didn’t need me to write no raps for him, and Yo-Yo didn’t need me to write no raps for her.”
I swore I wouldn’t tell, but most yall sharing bars like yall got the bottom bunk in a 2 man cell!!
Weird but Cube did write a lot of great raps himself regardless
Didn’t he write a bunch of e and Dre stuff?
What the f***, man.
Why are you out if there’s multiple ghostwriters lmao
This did nothing to help add to any kind of discussion

Dude acting like a high school drama queen
He definitely wrote like 99 percent of his music but it's common for rappers in groups to sometimes write music for each other. Pretty sure this happened in wutang multiple times and it definitely happened with the geto boyz

ODB had RZA and GZA writing for him but that's it

This
No one writes their lyrics 100% by themselves no matter if they’re a Kanye or a Kendrick or a Pac or biggie or a Hov

Meth wrote the first verse for this
Like I said, it's common for rappers in groups and I guarantee you there's been more verses written than they would admit because like Cube said, b-boying has a different essence.
