I started cooking like 10 years ago just because it’s the easiest job to get, never had true passion for it but i stumbled into a chef position and they desperately wanted to completely overhaul the menu, this is what i have so far.
Appetizers:
-Bone in Wings - Sauce choices: Honey BBQ, Dr. Pepper BBQ(haven’t thought of a name), Buffalo, Chili Lime, and Hot(my own hot sauce)
-Mozzarella Sticks
-Hummus
-Chips and Salsa(Homemade)
-Half Size Cesar Salad
-Half Size Cobb Salad
Entrees:
-Bistro Burger(can add bacon or cheese) Lettuce Tomato Onion Pickle and Garlic aïoli
-Grilled Cheese on Texas Toast with homemade tomato soup
-Blackened Chicken Tenders(stolen from popeyes lol)
-Buffalo Chicken Sandwich (fried or grilled with blue cheese or ranch, lettuce and tomato)
Haven’t been given a budget for sides or dessert yet but i’m hoping i can pull off homemade fries, tater tots for the kids chicken tenders, mashed potato’s, broccoli, and asparagus as far as sides. Haven’t thought of dessert
Sample Flatbread i made for the owner yesterday
looks like s*** tbh
i’m not great at takin pics and i had separated it to start eating before i remembered i wanted a pic
oh i forgot the best appetizer
Buffalo Chicken Fries with ranch drizzled on top as well as a sort of salsa for lack of a better term, made of diced cucumber onion red peppers and jalapeños
Jus some ideas
Kabobs
Artisnal grilled cheese
Shrimp scampi
Taco salad
Seared flounder with lemon herb rice
This is just the lunch menu, right? Maybe add one more entree that isn’t a sandwich/wrap/burger

I'm playing, love u my g, good luck ❤️
Sounds good. my only complaint is too many bread based entrees. 4 out of the six entrees are sandwiches
I think u need a Lil more variety cus that's mostly like American cookout style food, I'd add seafood pasta maybe some ethnic dishes
Any vegan options besides the hummus?
I’m asking my dad who’s a chef about this, because i’m not well versed in vegan dishes at all lol

yes we only serve from 12-6, if they’ll let me stay open until 10 then i want to add more like a roasted chicken dish, steaks etc

Maybe you can add one of those healthy “bowls”, possibly salmon since you don’t have any seafood options on there yet. white ppl love that s***.

Would be easy to have it as a vegetarian/vegan option by letting ppl sub the salmon for some tofu or tempeh or something
empanada
i’ve been thinking about things like this but i’m not sure if they’ll get worried and start seeing it as too much fusion or something , same with how i was thinking of trying to get them to do shrimp and grits for the breakfast menu and that’s it’s own like food genre
I have no say over breakfast tho
