I just call everyone bro now it's much easier
Facts i did this at my law firm with women and lawyers
They didn’t call me out but I knew I did it, walked into Dunkin and I immediately said “how’s it goin man?” When they said good morning. They clearly didn’t identify as male and I just felt bad the rest of the time tbh
That’s about it
this sucks when it does happen but in my experience if you correct yourself on the next sentence (or make a point to correct yourself) the person will understand and feel alot better about it
you deserve a one week mute to think about what you did.
seriously, dont think to much about it. you obv didnt mean it.
yep youre f***ing cancelled buddy
Twitter gonna be eating this one up
Op is done for
i said “thanks bro” to someone i later found out was mtf trans , i didnt know thought they just had long hair
Sorry to hear that bud. Would you mind posting your first name/last name, current school, and/or employer so I can reach out to them and ruin your life?
There's a transgender woman that I work with. We talk all the time and I've accidently said 'man' like three times and she's never said anything or appeared to be bothered about it. It's a mistake but not that deep

i wouldn't say it's even necessarily a mistake BUT it does depend on who you are talking to so it's worth clarifying. i know some trans women who don't mind if man is thrown around as a filler word like dude or w/e, but i also know some who have said that it legitimately bothers them
OP is just being considerate and you guys are shaming him
op horrible bury him 25 feet deep under the jail and throw the shovel in a vat of acid
