I’d put that under the assault rifle category.

The constitution was written a long ass time ago when automatic weapons did not exist. People used muskets lmao

America is the number one country in the world for mass shootings and that is partially because the amount of access people have to guns and which guns they have access to.

ar15 is not an assault rifle 🙄

guns shouldn't be banned but they should be harder to obtain than they currently are

    Correct.

The 2nd amendement was created in a different time.

It took over a minute to load 1 bullet into your gun.

We need to make it much harder (or impossible) for people to obtain military grade weapons.

Along with making sure less powerful guns stay in your home for home defense

No one should be walking around with a rifle in the streets in 2020

the farmers had same weapons as military and it was legal to own canons back then as well

Ok wrong on that since it’s a semi automatic but the use of it in mass shootings can’t be discounted.

Again, it was a different time. By saying that does that mean that I could go out and cop a rocket launcher then?

so ar15s for u but no one else 🙄

I didn't say that, but hey, feel free to cherry pick my statement. I do believe 2A is absolutely essential for American citizens (especially those within marginalized communities), but compared to other liberties, rights, and priorities (eg. equal protections, free speech, anti-discrimination, healthcare, etc.), it's not exactly really high up on the list in comparison

The constitution was created with the right to have slaves in it

You can always tell who's stupid by who says something being in the constitution means it should never be changed and is 100% always correct.

But yes, please believe in 1789 they would've agreed that every American even those with mental illness and a history of violent crimes should be able to walk in a store and obtain a AR-15 that can shoot 20 defenseless people in a matter minutes

it was specifically not created to have right to own slaves actually becasue they knew that would change in the future

Also agree with this, the constitution isn't something you can solely base your argument on in modern times

Some of y'all gotta just go (back) to r/progun with the talking points y'all have been spouting lately. 2A's important, but there are also more important things than it currently at stake

  • Nov 2, 2020

lol s*** is kinda outdated to the times, needs to be reevaluated to whats practical, obv in an unjust system where cops get away with killing unarmed people, theoretically i wish the murder victims had a level playing field instead of being ganged up on and gunned down,

but violence overall sucks regardless. its just not an ideal thing...

the people who are going wild licking the 2nd amendments bootyhole like literally have no basis and the government is not going to take their guns away

  • Nov 2, 2020

when you have gun culture its hard to regulate

after Port Arthur the whole country agreed that guns are bad
