Selfish and then Sanctified literally feel like MOTW again.
Him putting out Filthy and then switching it up to Say Something to Supplies to rest of MOTW..shit felt all over the place.
So far album been a bit confusing with these two songs.

i dont get that vibe at all in terms of MOTW
Selfish gives me Can't Stop the Feeling/ Soulmate vibes (disposable loosies)
Sanctified brings me back to 20/20 Experience type vibes when he was combining multiple genres together with dynamic structural changes within the song.
The songs on MOTW were very one dimensional and rarely changed up.

I'm not comparing the vibes 1 for 1 with MOTW. What I mean is 2 singles and they both sound completely different.
When Filthy was released I figured the album was gonna be exactly like that and then Say Something was completely different.
Rest of the album didn't even sound anything like Filthy.

Oh yeah I agree with that. That is worrying to me tbh. I do feel he's gone more focus grouped since MOTW. The singles on his last records were more themeatically consistent sonically.
The only thing I'm not digging is how different these two tracks are. Really wanted a dance banger, something loud that has the energy of Sanctified but in more dance edm/pop. Think modern day My Love or Rock Your Body.
That's the vibe I'm gunning for. If that type of song or single exists on the album that would've been the right first song imo.
his drip is horrendous
this remind me of kanye church vibes
this remind me of kanye church vibes
Pretty much since that's the definition of Sanctified

I think you're saying it's hard to have an early sense of how the album will be like. Thinking about it, MOTW was the same way, and Justin released like 10 singles back-to-back before the album came out lol.
But with MOTW, the theme was something like a split between the old Justin (suit & tie) and the new reform Justin (the caring mature family man). So, I assume the up & down singles were a representation of that.

I feel like MOTW only had one track if it's "old Justin" and that's Filthy.
Overall the album was planned just horribly.
Selfish is cool, but I think we need a more exciting song to catch people’s attention
And I think Sanctified is exactly that
While Selfish seems more like a radio and playlist hit, something you listen passively
I think he should just drop Sanctified and No Angels and work all three songs simultaneously
Morning light off of man of the woods is such a crazy song. So many tasteful expensive sounding layers on that beat and the actual song written on top is solid. Always kinda liked Hard Stuff too

i mean the fact Selfish keeps shooting up in the streaming charts is showing that its a relatively successful single for JT but yeah this is definitely his least trendy first single yet.
Sanctified seems like a deep cut type song though. His next song needs to be something people can dance to.
I've always found it immature when fans are mad at artists for personal stuff going on between 2 artists, that s*** is private. the whole "let's make britney song's selfish chart to number one" is just so childish.

spotify deff more popular in europe
and the answer why song is doing better is that europe dont care about any drama surrounding JT. we just listen music
