He’d rather release the same shoe every other week in slightly varied colorways

legendary photo
and running an extremely successful shoe line
he didnt have that much on his plate before. cant expect him to make classics when he got other priorities now.
we got 7-8 albums of absolute timeless music. thats more than enough. dude will always be one of the greatest artists this century has ever seen
Both of what y’all said
What we have to see now if his shoes will be iconic throughout time or just iconic throughout a certain period
Which I think he’s also focusing on
kanye literally is not this person anymore...
I think that’s obvious. That’s why I made this thread saying he needs to go back to that if he wants to deliver another classic as he’s stated he’s wanted to do

I think he’ll eventually lock in with the music like he was in the old days but it’ll only be when he’s ready
Ye should genuinely retired. Has a net-incredible discog and I don't want him to soil it bc he feels obliged to make music even if his heart isn't in it. man supplied us plenty classics, he should ascend the rap game finally and leave this all behind

This the worst post of all time

they will def be iconic forever. impact is too strong. i dont fw them but everywhere i go i see them, even if they aint yeezy's the design is copied (i think)
plus theyre so easy to rock and practical. i dont see that design dying
You also realize he did this with CD, LR, MBDTF.....what does “making your songs go through the test of time” have to do with “pop records”
If you are just talking about waiting to drop something to make sure it will last that’s a completely different subject.
The speed at which the sound changes in the mainstream and the fact that rap is now the predominate music in the world (alongside traditional pop music) would have a much bigger impact regarding this strategy.
The only way you could release something that does stand the test of time is to completely shift from the popular sound and to not incorporate any of that into the record.
Theoretically it’s the best strategy because it is the test before the release to show you the music is good enough, but is that viable now?
I also think Ye trying to force out albums and making Mike Dean work like crazy just to get an album to drop within a week is kinda dumb but it comes with its own benefits (although the chance the music has longevity decreases exponentially).
Ye seems to have a different philosophy now tho, he’s in a completely different place in his life now and his music is a huge reflection of that
We’re all just waiting for North’s eventual rise to music stardom with Ye producing the albums.
He’ll never be on this type of time again
we never know, as longs as he's passionate about it there could be another 20 years of musical output in him, I can easily see him returning to form and I'm pretty sure he won't leave us with a record like ye, he'll leave on a high note

mad companies did try to sell bootleg Yeezy’s
But I personally think it’s too early to know, we’ll for sure 100% know in 5 years imo

I think so too. If you look at his recent output like Ye, Yhandi, JIK, even KSG you can see he’s had a ton of great ideas that could’ve used more fleshing our and attention to detail
Look at my comment above
I did. It’s kinda impossible to say cus Remmeber he was actually working on Yandhi first after Ye.
So how can we confirm he worked on Selah for a year plus?
Just cus he created an idea for Selah during working on Yandhi doesn’t mean he worked on that song constantly.
That’s the point I’m making Graduation Ye didn’t create a bunch of songs. Only like 15 and would work on them for like 2 years to make them perfect and see if they stand the test of time. We honestly can’t confirm that he does that now a days
I think that’s obvious. That’s why I made this thread saying he needs to go back to that if he wants to deliver another classic as he’s stated he’s wanted to do
but like he is doing a million other things..
just bought land , building there...
own farms, factorys
clothes , shoes...
like I don't think he will ever focus on music like that again

Hurricane, Cash To Burn, Garden, Alien, City In The Sky, Brothers, Last Name... woulda been so dope if he finished and officially released those songs
