I hate when he does something pretending it’s for the sake of everyone else. He is so incredibly selfish, the only times (in recent years) he’s brought up racism, white supremacism etc has been when it has directly affected him.

After spending the past few years twerking for Trump and others and pretending that white supremacism & racism barely exists he’s brought it up once again.

Stans will argue it’s just him fighting for everyone but I won’t be so blind. A lot of the white people here will be capping so I’m not bothered.

Been saying this, stans will never admit it though.

The Nat Ye and Moses tweets clearly show where he’s coming from.

this is somewhat true and annoys me to no end

it would be better if he either spoke up for us more often and not just when it benefits him, or just stopped pulling the race card altogether

cause according to his own words, racism isn't a deal breaker

Kanye doesn’t need to justify himself to me lol if I don’t understand that’s on me but most times I will.

It’s a clear trend that majority of the time he speaks on social issues in recent years is when it is affecting him directly.

Man said racism didn’t bother him on SNL (i think last year or two years ago) why’s he bringing it up now?

Even if you’re wealthy and black you’re still affected so I don’t understand why people have been giving him this pass.

I don’t need someone who will tell me racism doesn’t bother me then start talking about it’s affects when it bothers them. You can’t see how selfish that is?

It’s not fair on many Black people because he has spent so long validating racists and weirdos like Candace Owens

I am with you, OP. I def felt the same. But its also normal to stand for issues when they start to affect yourself. A lot of times i don't get how severe an issue is before i feel it myself. Doesn't discredit the whole intention tho.

What bout when he spoke out against private prison
    Mass incarceration
    About Climate change
    The 2020 riots
    "The mental slavery point"
    Black ownership
    Cons of social media
    Against corporations
    White liberals/"black vote"
    Homelessness

I think it's a mix of both, he has spoken out on many issues that dont involve him in recent times and gets told to shut up and that it doesnt involve him and then theres also times where it come across as self service

But I dont think this is one of them times, this point he's on now ties into his points about black ownership that he's been making since yeezus, new slaves, and even as recent as his rally

I agree with most of your post but even so, being apathetic about racism especially as a wealthy black man it nullifies a lot of your points.

As you said he’s mentioned a lot of those other things but if he isn’t bothered then why does he feel the need to be angry and go on a tangent about white supremacy?

I’m not saying it’s bad but it should come from a more genuine place.

I personally think if the fashion world was more open to him then Yeezus would have gone a lot more differently.

this is true, but it's also probably true for most people or at least most artists.

if him talking about an issue that effects him helps other people tho, then it's a good thing.

Even him doing it for himself is still helping others, I'm sure artists will look into their contacts and try to own their masters too.

This is the case for a lot of artists who not until something happens to them will they speak out on it.

    Agree with u OP

but also when he kept saying racism isn’t the deal breaker for him doesn’t that kinda prove his point that he still is a black man trying to get in the ranks of all the places they would usually deny someone like him of

Kanye is not a leader in the since were he’s going to go around and ask everybody what there issues are and then go fight for them. Kanye only work through his life experience “if I’m going through this, someone else is probably going through it too” so let me fight this fight and if I win we all win too
