The decline started with Pablo. GREAT album, iconic era, but you could tell his flow was starting to get sloppy in places and thats when you could tell Kanye started putting less effort in.

Ye was worse and JIK was even worse than that. KSG was the one exception, but that was more like a Cudi album then a Ye album.

Now his rapping is even worse then some of the material on JIK. His best verse this year was on Ego Death and that was from 2018.

    this is incredibly accurate

honestly there were hints of him losing his flow as far back as yeezus era

An album full of Ghost Town type of singing and melodies and than 1-2 rapping songs when he’s actually trying like Follow God...would be a classic.

Facts, it’s like it started with him trying to stay modern with the trap rappers flow and that was a big mistake and it’s been downhill since.

He lost his passion, and doesn’t sound inspired anymore.. I think he lost the grasp on what appeals to the youth as far as sound goes, and that has always been a concept in his musical process..

His fits don’t even seem inspiring anymore, s*** is crazy..

Despite TLOP having a lot of GREAT moments, there were many questionable moments and verses that sounded like he didn’t even try on the songwriting tip

Sure some of the weird lines on Yeezus and “bleach a******s” were funny, but during that era I could tell Ye didnt care as much lol Not on the same level as MBDTF and previous albums.

I'm pretty sure JIK was originally going to be a full-on gospel/singing album until Pastor Adam convinced ye to rap.

Yes but he was still so good musically that any apparent flaws were sorta shrugged off.

A lot of Ye fans who s*** on Yeezus back then would probably prematurely ejaculate if he dropped something close to that quality now.

Lol his flow today is super different to Yeezus, Pablo, ye, KSG and JIK, aside from the unreleased track Glory where it's similar

It's shorter bars, more space inbetween, more emotive enunciations of words, overall easier to perform

This is all it is. It ain’t bad it’s just different and it’s cool to hate on Kanye so y’all get on here and make these goofy threads to get the hive mind of the forum to agree with you and make you feel accepted

How is KSG more of a Cudi album than Ye? Cuz Ye raps well? Stop it

The production obviously. Reborn literally sounds straight out of MOTM1. Both Cudi Montage and Free both have that rock edge that’s a Cudi characteristic, not Ye. Ye doesn’t even rap on the first track.

My original statement was not meant to discredit Ye’s contribution. But if you compare the effort on Ye’s part between Ye and KSG, it’s a night and day difference. Cudi steering the ship helped put Ye in focus.
