sad! I just play my drake music in peace
FATD album of life
I’m both fan of Drake and weeknd but the weeknd is globally a bigger artist than Drake this is a known fact and only people denying this are the ones who are living in the USA. I will actually go that far that even in the USA the weeknd has more longevity than Drake and his hits are way more organic. They both make good music but the weeknd his music ages way better and that’s also a fact.
Oh, another person who said The Weeknd is bigger globally fyi @shaleirose.
Any person outside of KTT would tell you The Weeknd is bigger. In fact, he's the biggest popstar of this decade when it comes to HITS. Songs that REAL PEOPLE know and like. Taylor, of course, sells more albums because her fanbase is bigger and they all buy albums (at least 5 copies each every 6 months). But The Weeknd, along with Dua Lipa, has been the biggest star of this decade in the world.
No wonder, each year since 2020 he has at least one song in the top 10 of biggest songs of the year (IFPI)
2020: Blinding Lights (#1)
2021: Save Your Tears (#1), Blinding Lights (#5)
2022: Save Your Tears (#5)
2023: Die For You is predicted for the top 5 (Creepin' might get a spot in the top 10)
But when you realize, he has been a massive hitmaker since he blew up
2015: Earned It, The Hills, Can't Feel My Face
2016: Starboy
2017: I Feel It Coming
2018: Call Out My Name
2020: Blinding Lights
2021: Save Your Tears
2023: Die For You, Creepin'
These are just the main hits
Drake is obviously massive too and he's doing his thing. But currently, Abel is clearly bigger
Depends on the demographic
Bro no
@Zackbrah was saying if he didn’t do 500K in the US it would be a flop, to which I said that’s a ridiculous prediction for a Spanish-speaking artist on an American chart
Where did he say that?
Also when people say globally on this site they are usually talking about minus the USA.

So it's also unfair towards Drake to compare his worldwide numbers to Spanish-speaking artists considering how huge the latin market is? Look at the YT views for latin songs, unlimited amount of songs with +1B YT vids
KTT users are telling me he is the biggest male artist in the world so I think we should expect him to do more than 500K and if he doesnt it's a flop.

Especially when rappers are universally known to really only be huge in the US lmao.
Where did he say that?
I just said that since 410K is a flop then we should also expect the so-called biggest artist in the world (and they included US when they said that before) Bad Bunny to do more than that number. Just playing by their rules..

The Billboard 200 is a US-based chart though. So belittling a Spanish-speaking artist’s numbers on that chart specifically is kind of an obtuse thing to do.
If there were some Global First Week Sales Chart then it’s a different story, but the one that’s used is US numbers only.

Anyone saying 410K is a flop is either trolling or a Drake hater, don’t take that s*** seriously

Lmaooo which one of those songs do you think REAL people know and like buster?
Oh, another person who said The Weeknd is bigger globally fyi @shaleirose.
Whenever I see someone say that on this site, I always assume that it’s implied they mean “outside of the US”

He is.

Well, they can't use "he doesn't sing in English" as an excuse if his album performs poorly in the US ever again because Bad Bunny shattered the US market last year. He went on not one but TWO tours in the US last year. He played arenas then he played stadiums. Not only that, he was ranked #1 on Billboard's Year-End Artist chart last year and had the #1 album in the US last year.
Both.
I wouldn’t agree with including the US, but outside of it he’s definitely bigger right now

So now the US isn't part of the world anymore? Got it 📝

Who cares about that? What you people fail to realize is how immense, high quality, and diverse drakes discography is.
His streams get divvied up to all of his songs. People just listen to The Weeknd’s cookie cutter hit songs and do not play a lick of his back catalogue.

What would performing poorly in the US for Bad Bunny be, first week numbers wise?
All I was saying that 500K was an unrealistic prediction

There you have it. So stop making assumptions that people only mean outside the US when they speak of Global numbers.
Stanning a fat crackhead is beyond me. But to each their own
