Which streaming record? Because if we're talking about THE RECORD as in most streamed of all time she's still 21 billion behind. Won't ever pass him up btw but she could have the scraps whatever record you're talking about

First time I've ever seen a Drake stan talk about global (total) numbers.

I'm talking about this one tho

    twitter.com/talkofthecharts/status/1783465656354267503

But she coming for that one too

Did Taylor invent adding additional songs to albums?

Like I said, Anthology isn't even up for purchase so you're complaining about nothing. Also you obviously know s*** about vinyl cause fans were going to pay more anyway if she had to press two additional discs to fit all the songs

If I bought FATD digitally, I'd still have to buy FATD: Scary Hours to get the "complete" album lol

So it's not for purchase on iTunes?

She didn't 'add additional songs' when she knew before release they were always going to be available on release week. She just duped her fans into buying half the album first and purposely concealed that wasn't the final product ready lmao. In an attempt to get extra sales (whether it be digital downloads this week, or physical sales in future weeks once Anthology gets physicals)

Adding additional songs is going into the studio weeks/months after the release, recording some more, then dropping it later on in the era because you aren't ready to do another new album yet.

You're being dense. FATD deluxe songs were recorded after the release, dropped 2 months after, and are 6 more songs in addition to 23 songs.

She recorded all Anthology songs prior to release, is 15 new songs, and purposely had her fans buying versions with only half the tracklist knowing that version would also be available in the first week also

  • Idk if it’s been mentioned itt yet but Swift going to so many NFL games this past season helped boost her popularity to a new market: sports girls, current gen of college girls going to tailgates, probably some new male fans too

  • JeffersonSteelflex

Also the playlists play a huge role. It’s filled with the same artists all the time

popular artists being in popular playlists isnt a surprise though.

Why do you keep implying she held a gun to her fans head and made them buy an album lmao

You're making up imaginary rules for artists. The songs had to be recorded after the first drop? And now she has to wait a couple weeks before dropping more?

  • iHype

So you're saying there's no way she could've sold the double album on CD lmao?

Or not announce it would exist beforehand to give fans an option to wait instead of pre-ordering a half album?

Or released it at exactly at midnight so fans would be able to digitally buy it on iTunes first and not the 16 track version then see it released shortly after?

You stans are braindead to defend this woman lmao. You are also an absolute idiot if you think her keeping the full version secret until after all pre-orders were complete was anything other than maximizing additional sales.

Taylors website had a tracking week count down. Literally everything involving her releases is for sales.

  • iHype

She wouldn’t have because physicals have to be pressed and made weeks in advance and it would’ve eventually been known she had a different version of the album with 2x the tracks before the release.

Hence fans would’ve not preordered the incomplete half versions in masses and instead waited for the full-encompassing version.

    You catching on finally?

A lot wouldve bought both to be fair. Did you see the different color versions she had for her RERELEASES 😭

Not sure why you’re filled with so much rage about this, but Of course the pt2 album wasn’t about sales because

1.if it was, why hasn’t she made an announcement for the CD versions like you mentioned in the tracking week?

    2. what sales have been boosted thanks to the 2nd album that is only available on streaming or iTunes? Surely you’re not thinking about the iTunes.

    3. she has already did pt2 thing for midnights and that iTunes numbers didn’t move in any way at all. Her team would’ve learned a digital-only release does not boost sales and would’ve made CDs if the goal indeed was to boost sales.

AGAIN: the pt2 is simply to put the songs that didn’t make the cut on streaming rather than on a shelf. This is actually a precedent you should be glad about lol.

Would you not be happy be happy to hear more from your favorite artist? Yes or no?

No she didn't force anyone to buy any versions. However knowing every version youre selling in pre-orders isn't the full version the entire time and waiting til release to drop the full version (along with physicals eventually following after for that version) is a s*** precedent and something greedy. No artist should do that to their fans nor should it be encouraged lmao.

    What is still not clicking

A few months after she re-released the album again with the additional 3AM songs + new songs on CD dubbed the 'Late Night version' causing the album to return to #1.

Correction: Someone calling out an artist for excessive versions of releases for the sake of sales greed

I bought Scorpion on iTunes release night. This is equivalent to if only Side A was on iTunes during release, then a few hours later, he releases Side A + Side B on iTunes (actual album) after I already bought it. Hell yeah I would've called him out and been annoyed lmao.

Diff between a deluxe/re-release later down the line, and then just purposely staggering s*** out during first week for higher numbers.

didn’t make the cut on a vinyl disc, that way the album wouldn’t need to be 4 discs long clapdead:

So why do you think the full album wasn't available on iTunes directly on release, nor were CDs manufactured?

And still isn't the complete Midnights album

Again, you can check the final billboard numbers. She doesn’t move iTunes numbers in any way shape or form. Are you willing to bet against me on that or no?

She already did this rollout format for midnights and the iTunes numbers gained are minuscule so she wouldve known this rollout method isn’t it, if her goal
    Indeed was to boost sales.
