Correction: Someone calling out an artist for excessive versions of releases for the sake of sales greed

I bought Scorpion on iTunes release night. This is equivalent to if only Side A was on iTunes during release, then a few hours later, he releases Side A + Side B on iTunes (actual album) after I already bought it. Hell yeah I would've called him out and been annoyed lmao.

Diff between a deluxe/re-release later down the line, and then just purposely staggering s*** out during first week for higher numbers.

    Excessive versions

The one thing that actually would’ve boosted sales in a significant margin; something that even you thought she should do - drop the pt2 CDs, she’s never done it.

Not for this album and not for her last.

So how can you argue with such conviction that this is ONLY about sales when she didn’t do the one thing that actually makes a difference??

Again, you can check the final billboard numbers. She doesn’t move iTunes numbers in any way shape or form. Are you willing to bet against me on that or no?

She already did this rollout format for midnights and the iTunes numbers gained are minuscule so she wouldve known this rollout method isn’t it, if her goal
    Indeed was to boost sales.

The release strategy helps iTunes numbers and streaming numbers (which is more obvious).

If you buy any physical copies you have to go on streaming (or buy once again digitally) to hear the full album.

So put it this way: 1 million+ people who would've been listening to their physical and likely not contributing to streaming much if it was the same tracklist are now also streaming the album in addition to buying it because the physicals don't have half the album.

There was 6 different tracklists for this album sold by release day and you are convinced this isn't sales oriented.

Well even if your hypothetical is true, they’re still her base and she kinda deserve those streams?..

When did I say multiple versions wasn't gonna boost sales? Whole thing started cause you said she was scamming fans by giving them exactly what they purchased

Shamelessly being misleading with her release strategy to maximize sales, yes.

Oh the Vinyls that were sold under the specific marketing of having 'exclusive tracks' which are.... checks notes.... available across plenty of platforms for sale and stream?

Yeah this is the part I don’t understand, you guys always get so uncalled-for-ly & disingenuously nasty towards her and for what? It’s not like she needs to do anything to outsell anybody alive today by 2x or 3x? or that the original 16 tracks alone wouldn’t have out-streamed anybody else? Fortnight debuted with 25m streams for f***s sake.

She didn’t want to put 15 more tracks on vinyl and thus making it a 4 disc album. That is all, can’t see why it’s so impossible to let go for you guys.

Nicki gets called out for suspected tactics, Drake gets called out, BTS gets called out etc.

God forbid we critique the white woman's release though

You're going off an error on a tweet by TaylorNation

    Let's sum this up.

You ordered a 16 track vinyl with a bonus track, but instead you wanted 30+ songs and track exclusivity.

Again, be safe while online shopping

An "error" that they said multiple times over multiple weeks with other versions too when marketing them

Thanks for playing. You are agreeing that it was misleading to the point you convinced yourself it was an error they said that and it wasn't intentional.

Actually, it's not even an error. The specific vinyl has an exclusive track that the other vinyl don't. Doesn't say it's not available on other formats.

    "Exclusive bonus track"

But, there's plenty of info on what you're buying on the actual website anyway.

    Ahh the backtracking.

'Exclusive bonus track' means it is only exclusively available with the version of product that is being sold.

Like a Target bonus track would only be available on versions at Target... not also on Apple Music, Spotify, and iTunes.

Says the Vinyl disc variant is exclusive not the song, also on the prior tweet I linked they even that was the 'final edition' of the album knowing damnwell Anthology existed (+ the Target versions you are also posting yourself) lmao.

And you just posted yourself a Target Vinyl with the same bonus tracks that were 'exclusive' in her store lmaooo. So no, not even the Vinyls in her store had those 'bonus track' songs exclusively and other retailers ended up having them on their Vinyls.

Not even worth continuing this with you. It's unainmous she version-spammed with preorders and purposely mislead to some extents.
