Well, and the fact that you'll be quick to point out Morale/Kendrick for performing poorly but provide endless nuance/excuses for Drake. Stan googles win I guess.
Mr. Morale flopped because it was the first time Kendrick didn't stick the landing with a concept, not because it was a therapy album. There's enough slappers on there for it to have worked at least on some level. It just didn't come together conceptually like most other Kendrick albums do and coming back after 5 years away with an album that didn't stick the landing after dropping his most commercially successful yet with DAMN didn't help matters.
TPAB is Kendrick's most dense and adventurous album thematically and sonically and even that album performed better than Mr. Morale.
But even at that, I said back then that Kendrick is allowed to have an album that flops/underperforms because he can't hit the mark every single time.
The only other thing I said was that he'd be in trouble if he dropped back to back dud albums and he didn't. GNX is a massive success.
so be it getting radio adds
Why are they not adding Which One
way more radio friendly
Cause it isn’t serviced to radio
And WDIM is definitely more fitting for Urban format
No argument there. I'm just saying that if an album dropped 8 months ago and another dropped 5 months ago, wouldn't you typically expect the older album to have sold more units? Especially when the older one not only debuted with more units but spent more weeks moving more units as well.
Somebody tell her that GNX is above Short n Sweet on that list and that dropped 11 months ago :jordanlaff3:
@Hndrxx_Free @YungPapi fuerza regida
An album released 9 months ago being in the top selling albums of the past 8 months isn’t really insane
You’re acting like the album came out 5 years ago lmao
The post you replied to said it's outselling new albums. And GNX is outselling newer albums (PND/Drake Collab, Bad Bunny album) AND older albums (Sabrina Carpenter)
People are listening to it more than other albums that dropped both before and after GNX, so its not just "It dropped recently, of course it's popular"

"enough slappers on there"
It's literally just N95 and Silent Hill. Maybe Saviour, Count Me Out and Rich Spirit but those aren't typical rap hits. You could lump Die Hard in there too
6/18 songs. You expect people to bump We Cry Together/Worldwide Steppers/Mother I Sober at a club/party and it gets the place live? 3 years later and you're still trying to be disingenuous about that album

The point is GNX is also new, so outselling new releases isn’t some crazy idea.
You think so little of Kendrick’s selling power that you’re surprised his album was still cumulatively selling 1 month after release?

The point is, it's outselling them.

6/18 is more than enough
Most albums coast on BB200 on less songs being more popular
If an album is outselling albums that both dropped 4 months before it AND albums that dropped 4 months after it, clearly there's something about it that keeps people coming back. And I don't see why you have to try to diminish the accomplishment when other people bring it up
Why did Nokia get blocked by Luther? It was newer and even had a music video to boost it

HNVM got more "slappers" than MM&TBS
And like I said, 6 is a stretch. Count me out and Rich Spirit are not "hits" type songs

Quality is ass but if Rich Spirit was more like this, I'd understand trying to say it's a hit/radio friendly. But the release version is way more subdued, what context are people supposed to bump that in

And we can point out major albums that dropped before $$$ that it’s outsold (Weeknd) and after (Carti).
You can do this for any album. What information is this giving us other than yall continuing tired trolling lol?

Who trolling? Post you replied to didn't even mention Drake but you felt attacked by it for some reason. Go back and read it, all he said was it's outselling new albums. HUT is newer. Bad Bunny album is newer. Playboi Carti album is newer

Better radio

I didn’t bring up Drake til just now because I was replying to YOUR post which specifically lists $$$

N95 was obviously supposed to be the big hit but they bet on the wrong song. Sounds like a diet Family Ties and I am saying that as someone who thinks Morale is his best album.
Die Hard is really the only song imo that had potential but it still didnt do what it had to do
